As a care agency, caring for the safety and wellbeing of our community comes first. Please take a moment to read this important update for tonight

A major incident is being declared from 7pm today.

- The RED wind warning remains in place with the peak winds between 7pm and 3am.

- Only dial 999 in an emergency overnight.

- The Emergency Department will remain open this evening but please ONLY visit if you are experiencing a genuine medical emergency.

- Schools will be open tomorrow unless you hear otherwise directly from your individual school.

Stay home and stay safe everyone and follow Government channels for further updates.

Jersey Met Office has issued an ORANGE ice warning.

Our teams will be out early salting the major routes but please allow more time for your morning commute.

Roads around the Island are expected to ice over following wintery showers overnight.

Please take extra precautions and stay safe.

If any roads are heavily iced presenting a danger to road users, please contact the Infrastructure & Environment roads maintenance on 01534 445509 who are responsible for salting the main roads.
