Virtues have to be practised till they become your nature ๐Ÿ˜‡ Friendliness, compassion and meditation should continue as practices till you realise that they are your very nature๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿซ‚

The flaw in doing something as an act is that you look for a result. When it is done as your nature, you are not attached to the result and you continue doing it ๐Ÿ˜Œ An action that arises from your nature is neither tiring nor frustrating. For example, daily routines like brushing one's teeth or bathing are not even considered actions because they are so integrated into one's life. You do all this without doership. When Seva (service) is made part of your nature, it happens without doership ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Question: When do you realise that compassion, meditation and Seva are your nature?
Answer: When you cannot be without it.

A Guru simply means one who brings more joy, more alertness, and more awareness into your life ๐Ÿ˜Š A Guru is not one who holds any authority over you. He is not one who dictates terms to you. Rather, a Guru encourages you to be in touch with yourself. He reminds you to *live in the present moment, and takes away the guilt, agitation, sorrow, and anguish. That in the true sense is the meaning of Guru ๐Ÿ˜‡

There is a certain joy in getting something. Thatโ€™s the joy children experience when they get things like toffees and toys ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿงธ Parents and grandparents feel happy when they give. The joy in giving is much more fulfilling than the joy of receiving. ๐Ÿ˜‡
Have you noticed how happy we feel when we share ? When we see a good movie, for instance, we tell everybody about it, even recommending that they must see it. The moviemaker is not giving us any commission to do that! We just feel that our loved ones should have the same experience. Or an elderly lady who cooks different dishes for her grandchildren derives an enormous happiness from doing so๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿฅ—๐ŸŒฎ

I have done the breathing exercises every morning for 5 years now, every morning!!๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I got COVID in December and if I had those weak lungs, I would have been on a ventilator and probably died ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Question: How can confidence be developed in one who is humble, and humility in one who is confident?

1. When you see your life from a bigger context of time and space, then you realize your life is nothing. ๐Ÿ›
2. When you are humble, you need to see that you are unique and dear to the Divine, which brings confidence, and when you realize you are insignificant, that brings humility. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿค
3. When you have a Guru, you cannot be arrogant. Your mentor/guru gives you confidence and also brings humility in you. The weakness in humility, and the arrogance in confidence are removed. You are left with confidence and humility! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ˜‡
