Art that brings cheer. On August 3, 2025, The Sunday Gleaner published a piece about Safe Haven Home for the Aged and the Cultural Development Initiative. The day was filled with art and musical pieces performed by Rosina Christina Moder and Beverley Henry. Stay tuned for our next Cultural Development Initiative event. ❤️

Last week, Safe Haven Home for the Aged hosted our first event under the new Cultural Development Initiative! 🎨🎶

The event — Paint and Sip — featured residents painting printed images in a relaxed, joyful setting. While painting, they were treated to beautiful live music by the Music Unites Jamaica Foundation, with Rosina Christina Moder on the recorder and Beverley Henry on the steel pan drum.

The fusion of art and music brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of calm to our residents — a true example of how creativity and care go hand in hand.

This is only the beginning! Stay tuned as we continue to bring more cultural and therapeutic experiences to Safe Haven. 💙
