🥔 Potatoes – Provide carbohydrates to restore energy and aid recovery
🐟 Fatty Fish – Packed with omega-3 fatty acids that help reduce inflammation
🍗 Chicken – Lean protein that helps rebuild and strengthen muscles

A sore throat isn’t always just a sore throat. 🤧

Tonsillitis and strep throat may feel similar, but they are different conditions and may require different treatments.

🔎 Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils caused by a virus or bacteria, often leading to swollen tonsils, fever, sore throat, and difficulty swallowing.

🔎 Strep throat is a bacterial infection caused by Group A Streptococcus, and symptoms may include sudden severe throat pain, fever, swollen glands, and white streaks or spots on the tonsils.

Recognizing the symptoms early and getting a proper evaluation can help prevent complications and ensure you receive the right treatment.

If you or your child are experiencing these symptoms, don’t ignore them, get checked by a specialist.

A sore throat can be uncomfortable but did you know tonsillitis and strep throat are not the same thing?

🔎 Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils caused by a virus or bacteria.
🔎 Strep throat is a bacterial infection caused by Group A Streptococcus.

While both conditions can cause sore throat, fever, and pain when swallowing, strep throat often appears suddenly and may include white streaks on the tonsils and swollen neck glands, usually without a cough.

Knowing the difference is important because strep throat typically requires antibiotics, while many cases of tonsillitis may resolve with supportive care.

If you or your child experience severe throat pain, fever, difficulty swallowing, or swollen glands, it’s best to get checked by a medical professional.

Many people ask this question: “Why can’t men buy the morning-after pill for their partners?”

The answer comes down to safety, consent, and proper medical guidance.

Emergency contraception is a medication meant for the person who will take it, and healthcare professionals must ensure:
• The woman consents to taking the pill
• Her medical history and current medications are considered
• She receives proper counselling on how and when to use it

These steps help prevent misuse, health risks, or coercion.

Reproductive health decisions should always be informed, safe, and patient-centered.

If you have questions about emergency contraception or reproductive health, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.

Today is World Obesity Day.

It’s a reminder that prevention matters.

Obesity can increase the risk of several serious health conditions including heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and sleep apnea. But the good news is that small lifestyle changes can make a big difference.

Eating balanced meals, staying active, drinking enough water, and getting regular medical checkups are simple steps that help protect your long-term health.

Most serious health conditions don’t start suddenly.
They build quietly.

High blood pressure. Diabetes. Heart disease.
Often no symptoms — until it’s advanced.

That’s why knowing your numbers matters.
That’s why screening matters.
That’s why prevention is power.

A simple checkup today could prevent a major diagnosis tomorrow.

Don’t wait until something feels wrong.
Be proactive. Be informed. Be in control.

Your body will always send warning signs before it shuts down.
The question is… are you listening? 👀

✔️ Drink your water
✔️ Move your body
✔️ Get enough sleep
✔️ Manage stress
✔️ Do your regular checkups

Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish — it’s necessary.

Let’s prioritize prevention, not panic.
