We call ourselves "SOS" sisters of survival....a breast cancer support group in westmoreland Jamaica West Indies.....i started this group when i saw the great need, as a radiographer....and a survivor ...when i moved to jamaica....i was totally amazed at the amount of breast cancer we were diagnosing on a daily basis....truly out of control, in my opinion...and why....after many years i'm figur
ing it out....jamaicans burn trash/garbage....because they are forced to....not enough garbage trucks....the people in charge of that would rather (yam) use the money ....saying in jamaica its sickening truly sickening , most of these women dont have health insurance let alone the money for the dr. or the meds.....thats where "SOS" comes in...i have a dream to change many things....but first and foremost lets stop the burning of the trash..have more awareness.....lets offer free mammograms....free wigs....free prothesis....free medicine....and so far we have been blessed (from my sister Lorena Dugger) to be able to do just that.....give what we can...as we have it.......lift me up to GOD in prayer.....this group is well needed....and i so love helping these women....who other wise i truly dont know where they would get the help.......
