Why did I study medicine? It was a combination of reasons highlighted in this video, but inside from a very young age I knew that I wanted to be a doctor.

Growing up surrounded by doctors certainly influenced my decision, however most of them discouraged me from pursuing a career in medicine!

The sensation of being productive, and of helping people to achieve their skin and see themselves in the best way- just incomparable.

I am so grateful that I get to work in a career I love, with the best team and the most wonderful patients 💜

Did you know that people in their early 20s are being encouraged to have injections of biostimulators?

This is one of my pet hates! It really frustrates me that some doctors would prey on the insecurities of younger women (and it’s usually women) to make them have a more expensive and more invasive treatment at a younger age.

I constantly advise my patients to focus on the issues that they are unhappy with in their skin and together we can choose the appropriate treatment for them.

Below the age of 25 when they have good skin volume, elasticity, and structure, there is no need for a biostimulator. Once aging starts I explain that as they get older they may need these treatments.

The earlier that you do more invasive treatments unnecessarily the more you are likely to develop side effects, and we must always remember that as doctors our first rule is Primum Non Nocere - first do no harm.
