We are pleased to conducting the Weight Management , with Head of Specialty Nutrition and Sliming Center Mrs. Nusaiba Al-Omari.
Goals: The course teaches the participant initial and in-depth skills needed to manage and deal with outpatient Nutrition clinic as A Dietitian.
Audience: Newly graduated nutrition students, and any nutritionist or dietitian that needs the experience in nutrition clinics.
Course outline: Nutritional assessment for outpatients, including:
- Patient interview.
- Assessment of patient's daily life style and food intake.
- Plan of care, including:
• Using the needed equations to calculate: ( BMI- body mass index, IBW- ideal body weight, ABW- adjusted body weight, BEE- basal energy expenditure, BMR- basal metabolic rate, and energetic needs for: ( Adult, pediatric, pregnant, lactating, and patients of some diseases.
• Diet planning & serving distribution.
• Weight maintenance & follow up visits.
• Enables you to gain practical experience in nutrition & slimming clinic.
- Attending live interview with patient.
Course Formate: Theory Part ( Lecture interactive discussion) and clinical training( Case study & live interview)
