Are you the kind of person that constantly complains, yet does absolutely nothing to change the circumstances you are in that you are complaining about? Or do you identify an issue and find a solution?

First workout of 2020 💪⁣ ⁣ Let's just say I have already come a loooooooong way when it comes to listen to and respecting my body! ⁣ ⁣ We stayed up until almost 3 am on January 1st (normally I'm asleep by 9:30 pm at the latest), so naturally I was pretty tired when I woke up later that morning. The old me would have told myself to suck it up, it's Day 1 of 2020 and I HAVE to workout.⁣ ⁣ The new and aligned me listened to how my body was feeling and had a pretty chill day spent mostly on the couch reading. Allowing my body to rest more so I could completely recover. I have learned the only thing I HAVE to do is respect the limits and power of my body, to take care of it in the most optimal way possible and always be listening to it's cues. ⁣ ⁣ We need to stop putting pressure on ourselves to do something because we "are supposed to" or feel like we have to. It's ok to miss a Monday, it's ok to take a day off, it's ok to go to bed early, it's ok to make self love and self care a HIGH priority. You only have one body, take care of it and it will take care of you 💕

Tryin' to bring ALL the jingle to the Jingle & Mingle party 🎄🤣

We take our inversions very seriously here 🤣⁣ ⁣ What better way to watch Bubble Guppies right? Kidding aside, inversions can be great for the body. ⁣ ⁣ Studies show inversion can:⁣ • Regulate the nervous system⁣ • Provide unique vestibular input⁣ • Be calming, or alerting⁣ • Prevent meltdowns⁣ • Relieve back pain by taking ⁣ pressure off the discs⁣ • Improve spinal health and ⁣ flexibility⁣ • Improve brain function⁣ ⁣ My herniated discs in my neck make me have to modify my inversions now, but I still get in them daily for the health benefits (except during my moon 😉).⁣ ⁣ Plus I always feel better after inversions! They can be very simple too, you don't need to be in a headstand, handstand or forearm stand to real the health benefits of inversion. Simply laying your head over the side of the bed or couch is technically a head inversion or even laying over an exercise ball allowing your head to fall back.

After having my second back surgery in 20 years, it's even more important to me to understand the limits of my body. I've been working out at home for a little over a month now and already seeing changed in my body composition.⁣ ⁣ I can absolutely thank my postural awareness/alignment from yoga and strength from weight training for there being about 20 years between each surgery. Before I had my first surgery, I knew I had other discs that weren't in the best shape and I truly believe because I took care of my body better that the disc lasted 20 more years before becoming herniated and causing excruciating pain, leading to my second surgery.⁣ ⁣ Even though I'm 40 now, I don't believe in getting worse with age. I feel healthier now than I did when I was 19. I decide to invest in @whoop so I could know how much strain I was putting on my body, how well it was recovering and develop better sleep habits to improve my recovery. ⁣ ⁣ I've had it for a little over a month and I'm quite impressed at how much information it can tell me about my health. It's awesome to see that my strength, cardiovascular endurance and overall health is improving each week. ⁣ ⁣ Not to mention I'm a huge science nerd and I'm fascinated by all of this 🤓 so if you're like me and want to take a deeper look into your health, let me know. I can hook you up with a sweet discount on your #whoop #whooplive #recovery #strain #sober #soberoctober #9yearssober #fitmum #soberbychoice #choosesobriety #bettersober #europeanvacation #homeworkout #soberlife

Have you ever stopped and actually thought about your inner dialogue? What are things you've been telling yourself? Did you know that those thoughts have an impact on everyone else in your life, even strangers?? #negativemindset #positivemindset #growthmindset #yourimpact #youmakeadifference

When things don't go as planned, you have two choices - ☝️Don't say or do anything and suppress your thoughts and/or feelings ✌️ Do something. Take action, change the situation, be vocal. The kick off to 40 brings great self reflection and new beginnings. I choose ✌️ #40thbirthday #heresto40 #thisis40 #welcometo40 #nomoredissappointments

Every month is a sober month for me. It's a path I have chosen, because I realize I am a MUCH better person, mom and wife without it. I do not judge those who drink and I do not push sobriety on to others.

9 weeks post op from my microdiscectomy (back surgery). I haven't even thought of doing an inversion, in fact I was a little terrified. This was my first time in 9 weeks. I'm a little wobbly and my core is noticably weaker, but that's to be expected. ⁣ ⁣ I still have 2 herniated discs in my neck that cause a tremendous amount of pain, so now that I'm getting back to inversions, it will be on this for now.⁣ ⁣ Self care is of the upmost importance to me right now. It has been a rough 9 weeks mentally and emotionally. My focus is on the positives, what I can do, what I already have in my life, the amazing people I surround myself with and all the great things that naturally come my way. ⁣ ⁣ Sure, when the bad days come, I could completely focus on that, but really how would that actually help me? It doesn't. I encourage you to see things differently. Find the silver lining, it's there. Every time, every situation. I promise 😉

This is probably the HARDEST video I have ever posted. Y'all know I am not one to sugar coat things. However, when it comes to my own insecurities, I am magically able to put on a mask and not allow you to see my struggles. Today, I open up. All. The. Way. I also know some people may take this video the wrong way and I'm okay with that. Hopefully the right women will see this and get the message I am trying to put out there - just because we might not look alike, doesn't mean I don't understand your struggle. Some of you have never had the support/community that I have and what I will continue to build - it TRULY makes a difference. Yes, it's a longer video than I usually make, hang in there with me. You are NOT alone. #bodyimage #bodyimageissues #bodyimagemovement

Your entire life WILL change if you change your focus.... Did you wake up this morning? Yup! Did you at all stop and give a little gratitude for it? Probably not. I have learned that even in the darkest times and hardest situations, there are still things I can be grateful for. No matter what. Find just one thing. #selflove #gratitude #saythanks #begrateful #alwaysasilverlining #energyflowswhereyourfocusgoes

Intermittent fasting found its way I to my life a little over 9 years ago when I was looking for way to stop being a slave to the clock, I seriously would count down the time until my next meal! ⁣ ⁣ I was eating 6 tiny ass meals spaced out 2-4 hours throughout the day. I was ALWAYS hungry. Always. And if I'm being honest, I was miserable - but this was the way we were taught "to prime our metabolism", to get that lean body, to be healthy. I followed this for sooo long and constantly wondered why I could never reach my goals...⁣ ⁣ Tell me if you're like me... ⁣ ⁣ I question things now. I try new things if what I'm doing isn't working. See, the problem is, you can't do the exact same thing someone else is doing and expect the same exact results. You don't have their life, their DNA, their metabolism, their lifestyle, their stress level, their sleep quality, etc. I can continue to go on and on here...⁣ ⁣ You need to do what works best for YOU and your body. There are "healthy" foods my body doesn't tolerate, that doesn't mean they are or aren't right for you though. ⁣ ⁣ We are all individuals and our nutrition should be treated as such. Over the last 20 years I have been figuring out what works best for me and I just keep doing it. Our body tells us everything we need to know, we just need to listen 😉 ⁣ ⁣ So if you're tired of doing what Nancy is doing and being frustrated that it's not working for you, or if you've tried "everything" - you haven't tried me 😊 I'm here for you, to show you HOW to listen to your body and become intuitive. You ready to stop dieting?⁣ ⁣ Let's chat, message me! It's your turn to FEEL good!

I don't know about you, but after dinner I'm all about a late night treat - like every night! ⁣ ⁣ I used to have a serious sweet tooth addiction and terrible relationship with sugar. It ran my life! Like a crazy demon inside me that I had no control over that would rise up at my most vulnerable moments. I could hear it's creepy voice telling me it would make me feel better, it was always there when I felt bad, upset, sad, angry, emotional.⁣ ⁣ Every time I indulged, it lead to over indulging. Then I felt like sh*t the next day. Bloated, tired, super fatigued. I would go a few days and be fine, knowing I never wanted to feel like that again. But then something would happen and the cycle would start all over again. And again.⁣ ⁣ It wasn't until I deconstructed those cravings, learned what we as making me feel like I needed to cope with and be comforted by food. Peanut butter cups are my favorite. So I found a way to make my favorite sweet treat into a healthy version that provides me with the missing nutrients that I can't get from my food, it tastes amazing - to the point I never would think this was healthy! It gives me a taste of peanut butter (or what ever but butter I choose) without making me feel like I need to eat the entire jar of peanut butter.⁣ ⁣ Over the last 7 years, I have come up with several delightful recipes and versions - a mock Almond Joy, chocolate covered strawberries, berry blast, orange creamcicle, cafe latte cream, pina colada, pumpkin spice, peppermint mocha - just to name a few 😉⁣ ⁣ Do you have a sweet treat you want to find a healthier version of?

Ugh... It seems like so many of them only want to make a sale and could care less about actually helping you. Or they act like they have more training than they actually do... watch the full video -

This girl is soooo crazy!! Sometimes I think she must sneak some of my preworkout when I'm not looking 🤪 cause she's all kinds of hyped up! I love how she tucks her tail and pelvis under when she gets going! Do you have a pet that brings joy into your life?

Ahhh kombucha! As a natural born scientist, 🤓 I am happy to say I have absolutely mastered the fine art of making kombucha, flavoring it and creating natural carbonation. This is a blueberry ginger (one of my absolute favorites). Not only does it have all of the health benefits of kombucha, adding the blueberry and ginger really take it to the next level as far as a power packed health drink! Making your own is easy, however if that's not an option for you and you buy it, just make sure you buy ones that are low in sugar.

How many ways can you use a bidet?

Today was a tough day for pain, most yoga poses that normally help didn’t seem to today. I’m still going to take it as a win though. I showed up on my mat and did the best I could. 👉🏼 Question - do you prefer taking a yoga class at a studio or at home?

With my newfound injury of my neck and shoulder, I'm pretty much unable to do any headstands and sometimes I'm even struggling to hold a handstand. I got this beauty to help me to keep working on inversions, get a great core workout and take off any pressure from my neck. I've got my consultation with the physical therapist next week. Hopefully we can figure out what's causing all of my pain 🤷

There will never be a time in your busy mom life that you will be 100% distraction free #momtruth - however - YOU are 100% in control of how you react and respond to those distractions and curveballs that life throws at you. Do more of what makes you happy. Crowd out the bad stuff with good stuff - in terms of nutrition, your happiness and mental wellness.

Practice! Practice! Practice!⁣ ⁣ THIS right here is why it’s so important to show up for yourself and practice if you want to accomplish something. ⁣ ⁣ In March at my yoga teacher training in Peru, I couldn’t even hold myself up facing the wall! This was the closest I have been able to get my hands and body against the wall and I’m sooo close to being flat against the wall!!! ⁣ ⁣ Also, didn’t even realize until I watched the video, I am in full splits against the wall 🤩 I haven’t been able to do that ever!! ⁣ ⁣ So.... just like they say in yoga - the pose only starts when you feel like you want to come out of it. I didn’t think I could walk my hands back any closer to the wall, but I silenced the voices in my head telling me I couldn’t and just tried. And I DID IT!! ⁣ ⁣ Don’t give up on yourself, keep trying. No one starts off a master at anything. We all work to get better. Thank you @jaya.prada.radhika @shaktibird_ and @alisondwight for giving me the mental strength to get out of my comfort zone and believe in myself 💕

Soo..... I drop my phone frequently. This is my 3rd screen protector in 2 years. I have a very magical skill of dropping my phone in a particular way that falls perfectly on curves of curbs, rocks and gravel. I usually wait until I have about 2-3 cracks or really sharp edges where it has slivers on the screen protector before I change it out. I HIGHLY recommend getting a screen protector like this if you are “skilled” like me 😜 It has no joke SAVED my phone soooooo many times! Easy peasy - go check it out on Amazon.

You cannot HATE yourself to a healthy body... This group will be different from any group I have ever done before. In the last 6 years, I have seen a growing trend among women—quick fix diets with the same cycle over and over. There’s initial success, but then we fall off the program. We quit and give up, putting ourselves last on the priority list. All the while feeling horrible about how we look and feel: rinse and repeat. Mindset. Mindset. Mindset! Mindset is the MAIN reason we fail in the first few weeks of starting a diet. We are seriously the meanest people on the planet when it comes to how we see and judge ourselves. That needs to change. Not just for our sakes, but for our daughters, who are watching and listening to us pick ourselves apart, absorbing every criticism and ineptitude along the way. Though countless women continue to try this route, I have yet to see someone HATE themselves to a healthy body in my 17 years in the health, fitness, and wellness industry. Here’s what I’m doing to change that. I am opening up and sharing exactly what has helped me create a healthy mindset, which has in turn created healthy habits that have become part of my daily life. I rarely struggle with temptation, am never deprived, and always satisfied. I have learned how to tune into and listen to my body to give it what it needs. I haven’t been on a diet in over 8 years, yet during that time, I have maintained a healthy body before, during, and after 2 pregnancies. In this group, I will be teaching how to apply these techniques in your life to achieve lifelong results. Due to the intensive time commitment on my part, this will be a limited group. What you can expect from me: - One-on-one personal coaching tailored to YOUR specific goals - Weekly assessments - Nutrition and fitness consulting based on YOUR body and needs - A safe, private group to be with like-minded people and share your journey You will master and hone the same tools that I have used to

For the last month or so, he’s been lining toys up in a row. Today he started to count how many are in the line. It’s amazing watching kids as they learn, develop and grow! I always wonder what kind of person they will be when they grow up and we try to give them every opportunity we can to experience new things. My main goal as a parent isn’t to raise straight A perfect students. I want our kids to grow up and be decent human beings who are grateful with a kind heart and a deep, loving soul. You feel me parents?!? I’ll be honest, this little guy was a bit of a handful for the last year and a half and many days were a struggle. We’ve had some pretty epic battles and he has proven he can be a very clingy mama’s boy - which made things pretty difficult and challenging. I’m very happy it seems to have just been a phase and now he is a happier kid - which makes me a happier mommy 😉

Ahhhhhhh!!!!! Comparison is the thief of joy people!! Some of the negative messages I got after my post yesterday are blowing my mind and I just want to chat about it for a second.....

As I watched a child walking outside this morning, it made me start to think about how we evolved from a child to an adult. What if you talked to your child the same way you talk to yourself? How do you think they would feel?

I seriously HATE push ups!! Who’s with me?!? ⁣ ⁣ At the end of my workout, there is a burnout round and you do 30 seconds of push ups in different hand positions. I have never been able to get through the entire burnout on my toes. ⁣ ⁣ Until today!! HUGE victory for me!! Not just a physical strength victory, but also a mental victory. So many times we quit because it gets hard. What would happen if you just told that voice in your head to shut up and you convinced yourself you COULD do it?⁣ ⁣ I encourage you to try it next time. Cross over that line you’ve set on the OTHER side of your comfort zone. That’s where the growth happens 😉

I’ve got a new game to play.... I believe using your brain makes you stronger. Let’s stop just going through the motions and stimulate our grey matter shall we 🤪 Join me each week for #whatchathinkingwednesday
