10月7、8日に横浜で開催された第49回日本肩関節学会に参加しました。当院からは16題(医師12題、コメディカル4題)を発表しました！明日からの診療に生かしていきます。
We joined Japan Shoulder Society Meeting that held in Oct. 7 & 8 in Yokohama. We presented 16 papers including 12 papers by doctors and 4 papers by co-medical staffs.

以前チームに所属していた竹内先生の論文がJSES International より公表されました。小円筋萎縮の頻度を数多くのMRI画像で調査し、その成因を考察した論文です。
Dr. Takeuchi, who is a former fellow of our team, has published a paper from JSES International! This study investigated the incidence of teres minor atrophy with thousands of MRIs and discussed the causes of the atrophy.

Teres minor atrophy can be seen in shoulders both with and without a rotator cuff tear, even among the young population. The purpose of this study was to retrospectively investigate the incidence of teres minor atrophy in young and middle-aged patients with or without a rotator cuff tear.

以前フェローで在籍していた千葉大学の嶋田先生の論文がJSES Reviews, Reports & Techniquesから公表されました！
嶋田先生の2本目の英語論文です．
変形性肩関節症に対する解剖学的人工肩関節置換術の成績は，高齢者でも良好であることを報告しています．
高齢者ではリバース型人工肩関節が選択されがちですが，われわれは腱板が保たれていれば解剖学的人工肩関節を選択しています．

Dr. Shimada's paper, who was a former fellow of our team, has just been published in JSES Reviews, Reports & Techniques!
This is his second English paper.
This paper reports that the outcomes of anatomical total shoulder arthroplasty for primary osteoarthritis were good even in elderly patients.
Although reverse shoulder arthroplasty is preferred for elderly patients with osteoarthritis, we choose anatomical total shoulder arthroplasty as long as the rotator cuff is preserved and functioning.
