Tokyo Confidential

We designed a bar that will be a place for socializing that transcends nationality, gender, guests, and bartenders.
The space was designed with this concept in mind.
The main bar counter, is the center of the space, a free space where guests and bartenders can come and go without any difference in their standing positions, by removing the difference in floor level between the inside and outside of the counter. The flat counter and cocktail stations make the bar feel as if bartenders and guests are all sitting around a single dining table.
The materials used for the bar are old timbers that were used as beams in a temple over 300 years ago; there are also traces of the building’s former use, such as timber holes.In addition, old wood, plaster, and brass are used in various places, combining textures that change with time. Artwork and objects brought in from various countries create a mysterious space “at home”, casual, textured, and luxurious space. The balcony and roof top are open to the public. The illuminated Tokyo Tower is seem, reminding visitors that they are in Tokyo.
A new place has been created where people from all over the world can enjoy the Tokyo nightlife.

国籍や性別、ゲストかバーテンダーかすらを超えるソーシャルの場になるバーを作る。
そんなコンセプトのもと、空間をデザインした。
その場を作る中心となる、大きなメインのバーカウンターは、通常のバーにあるカウンター内外の床の段差を取り払い、客とバーテンダーの立ち位置の差を作らず互いに行き来できる自由な空間とした。またカウンターとカクテルステーションの天板をフラットな設計にすることで、バーテンダーやゲストが皆で一つの食卓を囲むように感じる構成になっている。 素材は300年以上前に寺の梁材として使われていた古材を用い手おり、ほぞ穴などの建物だった頃の跡が散見される。
そのほかにも各所に古材や左官、真鍮を使い、時間と共に変化する質感を組み合わせつつ、そこに色々な国から持ち込まれたアートワークやオブジェなどがアクセントとなってアットホームであり、カジュアルであり、質感があり、ラグジュアリーでもある、そんな不思議な空間ができ上がった。
バルコニーやルーフトップからはライトアップされた東京タワーの姿が大きく見え、ここが東京であることを再認識させる。
世界中から集まったさまざまな人々が東京の夜を楽しむことができる、新しい場ができ上がった。

事務所を始めて気づけば15年目に入り、色んな事を考える今、自分達がやりたい、やらねばならない事を前に進める、形にしていくために、建築やインテリアだけを考えるのではなく、事務所自体を一緒に考えるメンバーを募集したいと考えています。
基本的にはプロジェクトマネージャーですがバックオフィスやスケジュール調整、なんかその他色々なやったら良くなりそうな、事務所にまつわる色んな事を一員となってやってもらえる方を求めています。

We designed "THE HUNDRED Longevity House", a complex by salt group that combines cutting-edge regenerative medicine, ancient traditional medicine, and traditional Japanese food culture.

It is a place with the concept of "food is medicine and makes you healthy inside and out", where a medical facility offering stem cell culture and infusion treatments by Dr. Sawa and Dr. Hibino from Osaka, a wellness salon with authentic Sri Lankan Ayurvedic and steam sauna, and aged sushi supervised by Tokuyama Sushi, seasonal game meat, and fermented Japanese cuisine are all combined.

The interior uses natural materials such as old wood, logs, and plaster throughout, creating a space that expresses the concept of an oriental and Japanese worldview.

It is located on the 5th to 9th floors above Issey Miyake in Ginza.

先端的な再生医療×古来の伝統医学×伝統的な日本の食文化を融合させたsalt groupの複合施設
「THE HUNDRED ロンジビティハウス」をデザインさせていただきました。
大阪の澤先生、日比野先生の幹細胞の培養、点滴などの施術ができる医療施設と本場スリランカからアーユルヴェーダのとスチームサウナのウェルネスサロン、徳山鮓監修の熟鮓や季節のジビエ、発酵日本料理が一体となった、医食同源、身体の内外から健康になる、そんなコンセプトの場所です。
インテリアには古材や丸太、漆喰など自然のものを随所に用いて、コンセプトである東洋的、日本的な世界観を表現した空間になっています。
銀座のイッセイミヤケの上の5-9階にあります。

パリのジュエリーブランド「GEMMYO 」の日本初出店、表参道ショールームをデザインさせていただきました。
店舗内のプラン構成は、空間の中に柱梁をかけ、入れ子構造にして構造を作り、そこから落ちてくる柱を視覚的な結界として内部空間のプランを作っていきました。
フランスらしさと日本らしさの融合を目指し、八角にした杉の柱に大理石の天井やフレンチへリボーンの床を合わせています。
ファサードには特注で作った京唐紙とHOSOOの西陣織をウィンドウに使用しています。
ジュエリーのメインディスプレイは六方石を割って研磨した台座に載せて、宝石が大地から掘り出され、研磨されて仕上がる様子を表現しています。
ショールームは通常予約制になっていますが、11/20に行うプレオープンの際には中まで見ていただけます。
定員があるようなので、ご興味ある方はご連絡ください。

We designed the Omotesando showroom for GEMMYO, a Parisian jewelry brand opening its first store in Japan.
The plan for the interior of the store was structured as a nested structure, with columns and beams hung within the space, and the pillars that fall from them were used as visual boundaries to break up the interior space.
Aiming for a fusion of French and Japanese styles, we combined octagonal cedar columns with a marble ceiling and French heribone flooring.
The facade features custom-made Kyo Karakami paper and HOSOO Nishijin-ori textiles for the windows.
The main display of jewelry is on a broken and polished Ropposeki stone pedestal, representing how gemstones are dug out of the earth, polished, and finished.
The showroom is usually open by appointment only, but visitors will be able to see inside during the pre-opening on November 20.

YOSHINO 20 ART FESTIVAL
- Context of MIND TRAIL -
無事オープニングを迎えました。

今回massという作品を展示しています。
吉野と言われて最初に思い浮かぶものの一つに吉野杉があると思います。
育った場所も、樹齢も、樹種も、大きさも長さも違う、節や割れや腐れなどもある、個性を持った様々な木を吉野の色々な場所から一箇所に集め、それらの個性や表情を見ながら組み合わせて積み上げながら、1つの木の塊を作りました。
個性を持った木という生き物の身体が集まっていくことによって、Massという言葉の指す形のない概念としての木の塊ができる。
認識が一つ一つの木から木の塊に変わる事は、木が森になり山になる事や、人が大衆となり社会になる様をも表しています。

今回色々地域の方々にもご協力いただき、なんとか完成できました。本当にありがとうございました。
やっと涼しくなってきて、金峯山寺の蔵王権現の特別ご開帳や、そこから見える景色の紅葉も始まります。

We designed the interior for “Tokyo Confidential”, a new bar that had opened in October 2023, in Azabu Juban, Tokyo.
We reused an old wood from a temple over 300 years ago for the counter at the center of the bar. There are no barriers between guests and bartenders. Guests can also enjoy the view of Tokyo Tower from the roof top!

2023年10月に麻布十番にオープンした新たなバー、「トーキョーコンフィデンシャル」の店内インテリアを担当させていただきました。
バーの中心にあるカウンターは、300年以上前の寺の古材を再利用しました。ゲストとバーテンダーの間に垣根はなく、フラットな関係を築きたいという思いを込めました。ルーフトップからは、東京タワーの眺望も楽しめます。

We have designed four new rooms for “BYAKU Narai”, an auberge in Narai, Nagano Prefecture, where the townscape of 200 years ago still remains.
Not only utilizing the original buildings, also we used local materials, techniques such as lacquer, woodwork, glass and regional designs to create each room. All rooms have a guest room open-air bath that guests can see the sky over the mountains.
In addition, you can have a room meal in your room and enjoy relaxing time with your families as well as groups.

二百年前の街並みが残る、長野県奈良井のオーベルジュ「BYAKU Narai」に2棟4室の新しい部屋をデザインさせていただきました。
重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に指定された中山道の宿場町の景色に溶け込んだ古くて新しい部屋です。
元々ある建物を活かしながら、地域の素材や漆や木工、ガラスなどの技術、地域の特徴的な意匠を各所に用いて、各部屋それぞれ違った景観や体験ができるようにしました。
また、山越しの大きな空を見られるように、今回作った全ての部屋に客室露天風呂を用意しました。一棟貸、客室露天風呂＋水風呂、プライベートサウナ付の部屋もあります。
そして、今回お部屋では部屋食ができます。小さいお子様連れや家族やグループでゆっくりお過ごしいただけます。
