A valuable lesson.
With permission from my client, we have decided to share our recent experience. I am leaving out specifics or any identifying information, because I believe strongly in confidentiality and keeping your appointments your appointments. But this is an important message to share for anyone wanting to read the cards or have someone else read for you.
Tarot: Here is your past and how you got to where you are today.
Client: oh yeah, that’s spot on.
Tarot: Here is where you are currently.
Client: yep, yep, that’s right too.
Tarot: Here is a POSSIBLE out come for your life experience IF you consider and apply the lessons from these next cards.
Oracle deck throws 3 cards out at the client.
Me: ok, please understand THIS IS NOT WRITTEN IN STONE (points to “future” card). If you choose NOT to follow the guidance shown in these 3 cards (your most genuine attempt) then your outcome will be different.
Client: ok. Ok. I got this. I’m gonna be golden.
Next visit: Me: how did it go?
Client: I’m still waiting for my “future” card.
Me: can you tell me how you’ve been applying self care, introspection and removing from your life habits that are harmful?
Client: I’ve just been so busy and haven’t had time to focus on me.
Me: then how would this outcome have time to work itself into your life?
The cards show us possible outcomes on our journey. Imagine you’re walking down a road and come to a river. On the other side, you see a beautiful space to build your home. Throughout the river, there are lots of stones in front of you. Many of them are marked “step here”. Your gut says “let’s do that!” But, because they look harder to get to and a little smaller to stand on, you decide to start hopping on the stones closest to you. Rocks turn over, you slip, you fall, you get wet, dirty and covered in scrapes and bruises and the current keeps pulling you down the river so you have to fight your way back to the stones. Can you still make it to the other side? ABSOLUTELY!! But not as quickly, not as cleanly, and definitely a whole lot more sore than if you’d slowed down, read the stones and stepped out onto the ones marked for you to travel across.
These readings and the guidance provided during them are your marked stones. You are responsible for doing the work and you are accountable for the outcome. This is why I will never provide my clients, a “satisfaction guarantee “, because your satisfaction isn’t up to me. I’m here to help you see the stones better.
