Ale Pilates Pilates on the Okinawa Sea Wall The owner: Alessa C.W. She is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with her BA in Dance.

Alessa has been studying Pilates for over 10 years and teaching privates and small groups for about 5 years. Pilates became Alessa's passion when she was a teen; it was an unhappy injury that first brought her and Pilates together. Through this event, she saw firsthand how Pilates' rehabilitation not only worked but made her stronger and more flexible then before her accident. Alessa continues to dance and choreograph to this day, but her passion for Pilates and physical fitness is such a big part of her life that she loves to share it whenever she is able! THE TYPES OF PILATES

Mat Pilates:
Similar to yoga- all you need is a basic workout mat and comfy clothes. This practice starts with your breathing and engaging ones core, then works outward to all 4 limbs. This trains the persons' body to exert energy from the inside out. Mat Pilates combines strength, stretch, and a bit of cardio to provide the attendee with a full body, fun workout. Reformer Pilates:
Similar to Mat Pilates this practice is a full body workout with the added help of ropes and springs. Might sound scary, but this machine turns up the resistance and cardio training. With an endless amount of exercise combinations faintness of heart and boredom are not an option. YOU MUST TRY IT TO BELIEVE IT!
