About fear: As any "negatively charged" emotion, fear is a recording looped into re-play mode. As long as we see and feel fear as reality, we are paralyzed from achieving our dreams, talking to gorgeous girl, start own business, be an international star, write a book, be an Olympic champion, be financially free and etc.
As we don't like what fear (read: recording) is talking to us - about us, we automatically resist it, push it back, hide it, don't look at it straight.
But as I said above, it is only looped recording, and it is charged by your rejection force. But if you look to it closely without rejection, it will dissipate.
Think about fear as a passage with 2 doors. Behind that passage is a place with your dreams realized. If you enter to the passage and emotionally resist and do not take steps forward, you soon find yourself paralyzed. You may emotionally resist it and still take a steps, and gradually you will be out from another end. Or you may take a step and do not resist it emotionally. The you find yourself at the end of passage pretty fast.
In anyway you have to take a steps. And I suggest you record down all your steps, for your mind to keep record of your achievements. This will be your fuel to go further.
How to nor resist emotionally: for a moment fully be what you are feared of, fully be what fear tells you. Stop pushing back mentally. And you'll see that fear dissolves.
And remember, at any moment, your happiness is defined not by the outside world, but by your inside world, by YOUR CHOICE. You are "making a choice" every moment (consciously or not). And you can CHANGE A CHOICE.
In India, elephants are used in farming, construction and other activities that requires power. How come that big and powerful beings obey human or not run away? It is because, when baby elephant is born, they put a rope on their leg. Baby elephant tries to escape that rope lot of times, but he is not powerful enough. So after few years, he is not trying to escape the now tiny rope anymore, because he is convinced that he cannot escape.
What tiny rope is stopping you to get your dream life?
