OUI Inc. Named Top 12 Global Finalist at AIDEA Tech Challenge 2025

OUI Inc. is thrilled to announce that we have been selected as one of the Top 12 global finalists in the Asian Development Bank’s AIDEA Tech Challenge 2025! Chosen from leading innovators around the world, we presented SEC at the AIDEA Tech Challenge Grand Finale on 28 November 2025 at ADB Headquarters in Manila.

The AIDEA Tech Challenge—co-led by ADB and PATH—is a global initiative calling for AI-based screening and diagnostic innovations that align with the WHO Essential Diagnostics List (EDL), the WHO Priority Disease List, and the Priority Bacterial Pathogen List, as well as the national health priorities of countries across Asia and the Pacific.

It was our great pleasure and honor to showcase our technologies on this global stage!

Smart Eye Camera Wins Double Awards (Gold & Silver) at ONE Asia Creative Awards 2025

We are proud to announce that the joint project between OUI Inc. and TBWA Hakuhodo — the Smart Eye Camera — has won two awards at the ONE Asia Creative Awards 2025, which recognizes outstanding creativity across the Asia-Pacific region:

Gold Award in the IP & Product Design / Products for Good category

Silver Award in the Creative Use of Technology / Technology for Good category

This project is a collaborative effort by OUI Inc. and TBWA Hakuhodo to showcase the social value and potential of the Smart Eye Camera via creative communication.
This latest recognition builds on our recent achievements, including final selection at Cannes Lions 2025, double Gold at Mad Stars 2025, finalist status at London International Awards 2025, and a Silver & Bronze double at ACC Tokyo Creativity Awards 2025.

Courtesy Visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in Japan

On November 11, 2025, OUI Inc. CEO Dr. Eisuke Shimizu, COO Shintaro Nakayama, and Ms. Veronica, OUI Inc.'s intern from Lúrio University currently studying in Japan, paid a courtesy visit to Minister Plenipotentiary Nhalungo at the Embassy of Mozambique in Tokyo.
We had a very fruitful discussion on how we can expand our efforts moving forward!

Smart Eye Camera Selected as a Finalist at the London International Awards 2025!

The joint project “Smart Eye Camera” by OUI Inc. and TBWA\HAKUHODO has been selected as a finalist in the Pharma & Medical category at the prestigious London International Awards 2025.
Although it did not win the award, this recognition highlights the project’s continued excellence and global impact.

This initiative represents a collaboration between OUI Inc. and TBWA\HAKUHODO, aiming to share the social value and potential of Smart Eye Camera with the world through the power of creativity.
This achievement follows its selection as a finalist in the Pharma category at Cannes Lions 2025, as well as its Gold Awards in the SDGs and Innovation categories at Mad Stars 2025 — another remarkable milestone for the project.

In August 2025, our Medical Affairs & Research Associate, Dr. Rohan Jeetendra Khemlani, collaborated with Divya Jyoti Trust's Tejas Eye Hospital, and took the lead in his new study, using the in the rural & tribal villages near Mandvi in Gujarat, India.

Groups of people would be sent out to the villages to perform door-to-door visual tests and anyone with inadequate results or other complaints would be referred to an outpatient centre that would be set up in the village's local elementary/primary school for more extensive testing, which included visual acuity, refraction, blood pressure, blood glucose measurements, and anterior segment imaging with the Smart Eye Camera. From there, if further testing or intervention was needed, then the patient would be referred to Tejas Eye Hospital for more comprehensive care.

OUI Inc. is extremely grateful to Divya Jyoti Trust's Tejas Eye Hospital and its entire staff for all of the help and support. We look forward to a fruitful long-term collaboration.

At the international advertising festival MAD STARS 2025, held in Busan, South Korea from August 27–29, 2025, our jointly planned and produced project with TBWA\HAKUHODO, “Smart Eye Camera”, received two Gold Award:

• SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Stars — GOLD: Recognized as an innovative initiative utilizing cutting-edge technology.
• Innovation Stars — GOLD: Acknowledged as a socially impactful project contributing to the achievement of the SDGs.

MAD STARS is an annual global festival in South Korea celebrating marketing and digital content from around the world. This year’s theme was “AI-versing: The Era of AI-driven Advertising and Marketing.”

From August 27 to 29, at the Nigerian Ophthalmologic Society (NOS) 2025 held in Kano, Nigeria, OUI Inc. COO Shintaro Nakayama participated and delivered a presentation on the Smart Eye Camera, as well as showcased our activities at the exhibition booth.
