Summary
As a licensed medical doctor, globally recognized healthcare researcher & global health project management influencer, Dr. Subrina Jesmin (Arai) has a decorated career. Her academic background as an educator & scientific writer also speaks volumes of her giving mentality. She resides in Japan and is currently working at Health, Research, and Marketing (HRM), LLC, of which she is the founder. Story
At a very young age, Dr. Subrina Jesmin (Arai) set her goal to help people within her community and beyond. Dr. Subrina strongly believes in her father’s ideals and beliefs as he, too, was well known in their community for helping people by any means. He constantly motivated her to get the highest form of education possible in the country of Bangladesh. During those days, it was challenging for women to receive higher education in Bangladesh. With her father’s encouragement, Dr. Subrina marched forward and broke barriers for women wanting to receive higher education and become self-dependent. When she finished her graduation in Bangladesh, she immediately opted for a job to support her family. In her efforts to support the family, she moved abroad to Japan, where she has been residing for close to 2 decades. The challenges of settling and establishing multiply when a person wants to do it abroad. Dr. Subrina knew it all too well and was duly prepared to tough it out no matter what. Despite the troubled times, her perseverance paid dividends. Dr. Subrina chose the healthcare sector to honor her father and help as many people as possible. On that note, she has screened over one million women in her hometown and village for gestational diabetes. She launched a program to raise rural women's awareness about their health. During a survey, she discovered that many rural women had never undergone a health checkup. She knew that no one would come forward if she did not help them. So, she helped the women with her own money by providing free health checkups. The efforts she made as a humanitarian have been duly recognized and awarded many times over the years. 🎯 "Multitasking feels productive—but it secretly steals your focus."
Hi everyone — Marisa Arai here 👋

For a long time, I thought juggling emails, Slack, and spreadsheets at the same time meant I was efficient. But here’s the truth: multitasking only diluted my attention and slowed my progress.

Here’s what I’ve learned about single-tasking:
1️⃣ Clarity grows when you give one thing your full presence.
2️⃣ Small wins stack faster when you finish, not just start.
3️⃣ Deep focus creates work you’re proud of—not just work that’s “done.”

The shift was simple but powerful: one task, one block of time, full focus.
The result? I get fewer things started—but way more things finished.

💡 Lesson: Productivity isn’t about doing everything at once. It’s about doing the right thing, with full focus.

➡ What’s one task you’re committed to finishing today?

With focus,
Marisa Arai

⚡ "Being busy isn’t the same as being productive."
Hi everyone — Marisa Arai here 👋

I used to think the key to success was keeping my calendar packed, inbox zeroed, and Slack notifications always on. But the truth? That rhythm left me drained, not driven.

Here’s the trap I fell into:
📌 Confusing motion with progress
📌 Saying “yes” to everything → saying “no” to focus
📌 Measuring worth by hours worked, not value created

The shift came when I asked myself one question:
👉 “What would happen if I worked less, but with sharper intent?”

Here’s what changed:
✅ I set boundaries on my calendar (no-meeting mornings = deep work gold).
✅ I focused on impactful tasks instead of urgent distractions.
✅ I stopped glorifying busyness—and started tracking outcomes.
The result? More clarity, more energy, and ironically… better results.

💡 The lesson: Productivity is not about doing more. It’s about doing what matters most.

⏳ Productivity isn’t about working longer—it’s about working smarter.
Ironically, the biggest productivity hack in the digital age is knowing when to disconnect.

🌐 Too many tabs, notifications, and apps don’t equal efficiency—they equal distraction.

We live in an era where being busy and being productive are not the same thing.

🔑 Smart use of technology =
✅ Automating low-value tasks
✅ Protecting deep work time
✅ Respecting digital wellbeing

Think about it: airplanes fly faster not by flapping their wings harder, but by cutting resistance. The same is true for our work.

💡 Productivity is less about doing more—and more about removing friction so your best work can shine.

The professionals who thrive tomorrow will be those who know when to switch on and when to switch off.

How do you set boundaries with technology to stay both productive and healthy?
