You can't change people to be what they are not unless they wish change for themselves. Allow negative people to live their negative lives. Stay focused to what's positive to you. It's good to listen to a wise counsel but remember no one knows you better than yourself. No one really knows what you have gone through in the past except the ever present God. Don't waste time explaining your problems to people who are determined not to see your point of view. It's your life, your choice, your problems, your mistakes, your lessons. It's your story to tell. God trusted you with it. Give it the best shot.
