BELLY FAT isn’t just about calories or crunches.
It’s about hormones, most especially cortisol, insulin, and estrogen.
🎯 Here's the role of these hormones in your body:
1) Cortisol: This is our stress hormone and also our fat storage hormone.
Too much cortisol (from emotional, physical, or even hidden internal stress) triggers fat storage, especially around your waist. Your body holds on to belly fat like a survival mechanism ( I bet you didn't know that, right?)
2) Estrogen Dominance:
When your body has too much estrogen and not enough progesterone, you retain water, your metabolism slows, and fat is stored right around your midsection.
3) Insulin Resistance:
Too many carbs, too little balance. It won't matter if they are healthy carbs. Insulin resistance leads to blood sugar spikes → fat storage → more belly fat → more resistance, and the cycle continues.
