Today at St. Thomas Church kilifi, Kenya we hosted students from tertiary institution, , for an session during the Epilepsy 🟣

We have been having sensitization sessions targeting students in the past events.
During today's session, the students had a chance to share their experiences on and they also had a chance to learn more on Epilepsy from the experts from the project.

As we concluded the session, having learnt something new on , we had a cake cutting session to celebrate the milestones being made by different stakeholders around the globe to associated with Epilepsy.

We appreciate each and every person and partner who made today's 🟣 a success.

Collectively we can create an Epilepsy Stigma free society.

Have you ever heard of the Myth that you should put something in a person's mouth because they can swallow their tongue during a seizure?

Well, the fact is that it's physically impossible to swallow your tongue.

You should never force something into the mouth of someone having a seizure or try to hold their tongue.

You could damage teeth, puncture gums, obstruct someone's airway, and even break their jaw, as well as injure yourself in the process.

At St Thomas primary, kilifi Kenya as we were launching the "Early Intervention Programme to reduce stigma among children" we had a very interactive session.

The children were interested to learn on various aspects on Epilepsy.

Some of the questions they asked include:
• Is Epilepsy Communicable?
• What can we do to prevent Epilepsy
• Can patients with Epilepsy be taken to the pastor
• Can they be taken to the traditional healers
• Many others
