Kandaria Medical Centre is a community managed facility that is aiming to become one of the leading health Care clinics and health providers in Nyakach Sub County and the surroundings. We currently have a vacancy for a NURSE.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive antenatal & postnatal care, and family planning services
• Provide friendly, helpful service, advice, guidance, and education to all patients.
• Maintain patient data using our medical records system
• Keep accurate records and remain committed to quality control.
• Provide comprehensive PMTCT services and counseling and referrals for HIV.
• Maintain a good relationship with the community and other KMC members of staff.
• Work closely with peer educators, CHWs, and traditional birth attendants for outreach and education within the community.
Desired Qualifications
The desired candidate should possess the following:
• Be registered or be eligible for registration with the Kenya Nursing Council
• Diploma or Degree in nursing.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience serving the general population.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy: equally comfortable providing one-on-one counseling and presenting birth-preparedness education to groups
• Excellent analytical reasoning skills and meticulous attention to details.
• Ability to work effectively and interdependently in a culturally diverse environment
• And with good understanding of community dynamics.
