Day 2 of was a dynamic continuation of impactful discussions and key insights into the future of digital health in Kenya. The day kicked off with a forward-looking presentation on Digital Health 2030, highlighting the innovations and strategies needed for the next decade of healthcare transformation.

Participants engaged in multiple breakout sessions, where abstract presentations covered diverse topics such as:

• Digital technologies to enhance community health.
• Digitizing malaria mass campaigns for better outreach.
• AI-driven solutions for maternal healthcare.
• The role of data and technology in healthcare financing.

A key focus of the day was on innovative financing models, exploring sustainable ways to fund digital health systems and how they can be applied to ensure widespread access and efficient healthcare services.

The conference also featured a highly interactive workshop where participants collaborated to develop actionable solutions for the challenges facing Kenya’s digital health ecosystem, focusing on county-level perspectives.

The day concluded with the Kisumu Declaration, a call to action to scale digital health innovations across Kenya, solidifying the commitment to driving healthcare transformation through technology.

Day 1 Recap of the Lake Region Digital Health Conference 2024!

We kicked off the conference with Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o officially opening the event, setting the tone for two days of transformative conversations on the future of healthcare.

The exhibition booths showcased incredible innovations from various partners, including cutting-edge digital health solutions, telemedicine platforms, and healthcare data systems, providing a glimpse into how technology is reshaping health outcomes in Kenya.

Our panel discussions were packed with engaging insights on innovating for inclusive healthcare and how digitization improves health outcomes at the grassroots level.

Presentations also dove deep into matters like the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in health management, advancing healthcare through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), telehealth, and e-dispensing innovations.
