They don't know my full story, they don't know the 100lbs I've lost...
People always speak before they know your full story.
They make assumptions based on the first thing that pops into their mind, even if it's manifested from their own insecurities. Heck, it happens to me every day.
"I'm not going to take advice from him, he's probably looked like that his whole life."
Or
"Yeah, well I don't want to work out 6 hours per day like him."
Part of it is insecurity and the need to validate that what they're doing is the right way, but another part is social media giving people the confidence to say things without a filter.
I used to want to combat the people that discredited my videos or my message of health simply because they didn't know my story. But now, I realize that I don't have to prove that to anyone; whether they know my story or not. THE SAME APPLIES FOR YOU.
You will have your story, and that is somewhat what defines you, but the fact of the matter is that it is who you are today that ultimately matters, not even how you got there.
Sure, you may have a tad more credibility in some people's eyes if they know you've been there/done that, but tries that ultimately change who you are today when you walk through that door (at least in the eyes of others)?
Your story inherently paves your way. It doesn't need to be social validation or a dinner topic because it NATURALLY is who you've become and why you are the way you are.
I speak from the heart with health and fitness because I believe it. I feel it. I've been there and now it's fun to share my knowledge. That conviction and energy comes through because I've been there, that doesn't mean that I have to combat every low-blow soul that cuts me down.
So my message to you is to internally embrace who you are and the intention that you're living for, even if you're looking for a major change in your body, embrace the now and don't let people's interpretation of your message cloud your pathway. ❤️
Please make sure that your friends and family see this. I hope that this can be inspiring for many!
