MYTH $ ,You can’t “flush out” s***m after s*x to prevent pregnancy.

Once ej*******on happens, s***m can move through the cervix within minutes. Things like:
• Douching
• Urinating
• Washing the vg
• Sitting, standing, or “pushing it out”

do NOT prevent pregnancy. In fact, douching can increase infection risk and is not recommended.

What actually works after intimacy is,

1. Emergency contraception (most effective option)
• Levonorgestrel (e.g., Plan B)
• Works best within 72 hours
• Ulipristal acetate
• Works up to 120 hours (5 days) and is more effective closer to ovulation

2. Copper IUD (most effective overall)
• Copper IUD
• Can be inserted within 5 days after s*x
• Prevents fertilization and implantation
• Also gives long-term contraception

Important tips to note.
• The sooner you act, the better the protection
• If your period is late, take a pregnancy test
• Avoid repeated use of emergency pills as a regular method as they have long-term effects— use reliable contraception instead for family planning depending on which method best suits you.
