🧡 Every Mother Matters. Every Mind Deserves Care. 🧡

Mental health challenges affect 1 in 5 mothers during or after pregnancy — but for Deaf mothers, the struggle is often silent and unseen.

At THLEP (Talking Hands, Listening Eyes), we're breaking the silence. We believe every mother—hearing or Deaf—deserves support, understanding, and access to mental health care.

✨ You are not alone.
✨ It's okay to seek help.
✨ Let's support, educate, and empower together.

📢 Join the movement and help us raise awareness in the Deaf community.

Did you know? 🤰🧠
1 in 5 women experience a mental health issue during pregnancy or after childbirth.

This could be anxiety, depression, or overwhelming stress—yet many suffer in silence due to stigma or lack of awareness.

Let’s break the silence. 💬
Let’s support mothers with compassion, not judgment. ❤️

If you or someone you know is struggling, you’re not alone. There is help, and there is hope.

🇰🇪 Happy Madaraka Day from THLEP! 🕊️

Today, we celebrate the strength, courage, and unity that brought Kenya to self-governance in 1963. At THLEP, we reflect on what true freedom means — a Kenya where every voice is heard and every life matters, including those in the Deaf and disabled communities.

“True freedom means no one is left behind.” — THLEP CEO

As we mark this important day, we renew our commitment to empower, educate, and uplift those who have long been overlooked. Together, let’s build a more inclusive and compassionate Kenya.

Happy Madaraka Day! 🇰🇪

🍼💚 Did You Know?
1 in 5 women experience a mental health issue during pregnancy or after childbirth.
That’s millions of mothers silently struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma — often feeling ashamed, unheard, or alone.

It’s time to change that.
Mental health is maternal health. Let’s listen, support, and speak up — because no mother should suffer in silence.

💬 “It’s okay to not be okay. Speak up. Heal. You are not alone.”

🌸 Today is Menstrual Hygiene Day! 🌸
A day to break the silence, fight stigma, and empower everyone who menstruates.

Did you know? Millions of girls and women still lack access to safe menstrual products, education, and sanitation.
It's time to change that.

🩸 Menstruation is natural — not shameful.
🧼 Good hygiene is a right — not a luxury.
📢 Talking about periods saves lives — not just dignity.

Let’s educate, support, and advocate for menstrual health for all. 💪🏾
Together, we can end period poverty and promote dignity.

🧠✨ Mental Health Awareness ✨🧠
We don’t always show what we’re going through — but that doesn’t make the struggle any less real.
Your feelings are valid. Your silence doesn’t mean weakness. Let’s normalize the conversation.

📢 "I smile outside, cry inside. Silent battles matter. It's okay to not be okay. Speak up. Heal. You are not alone." 💚

“Taking care of your mental health is just as important as caring for your baby.”

Many new mothers feel pressure to put their baby's needs above everything else — including their own health. But the truth is, your mental and emotional well-being are just as important as feeding, changing, and soothing your baby. A calm, supported, and emotionally healthy mother creates a safe, nurturing environment where a child can thrive.

It’s okay to feel tired. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed. What’s not okay is suffering in silence.

You deserve support, rest, and kindness — not just from those around you, but from yourself too. Seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s an act of strength and love, for both you and your child.

Whether it’s talking to a friend, seeing a professional, or simply taking a moment to breathe — every step you take for your mental health is a step toward a healthier, happier family.

Let’s break the stigma surrounding maternal mental health and remind every mother: you matter.

💖 "A healthy mind in a mother fosters a healthy heart in a child." 💖

When we nurture the mental well-being of mothers, we’re planting seeds of love, security, and resilience in the hearts of our children. 🌱

Let’s continue to create safe spaces, raise awareness, and support every mother on her journey — because her peace becomes her child’s foundation. 🫂👩‍👧‍👦
