Today marked Day 2 of the ongoing Consultative Workshop and Sensitization Forum for the Council of Governors Legal Committee on the KDSP II Program in Kilifi County. Lindah Kiome Gitonga had the pleasure of once again joining H.E. Deputy Governor Flora Mbetsa Chibule as the dialogue on strengthening county legal and governance frameworks progressed.

Several key concerns were critically examined, including the persistent issue of delayed county funding, which continues to hinder service delivery and disrupt effective planning across counties.

Discussions also focused on the implementation challenges facing the School Feeding Program. While the initiative is promising, it requires a more coordinated and sustainable framework to achieve its intended impact.

Additionally, the forum underscored the pressing need to prioritize SHA registration for indigent populations to ensure equitable access to essential health services.

As Meru County, we remain committed to supporting collaborative initiatives that foster meaningful reforms and advance the spirit and success of devolution.
