A 2024 rapid study by UNFPA Kenya revealed that nearly 90% of young adults in Nairobi’s higher education institutions have witnessed technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), with 39% having personally experienced it. According to the study;

1. Female students are disproportionately affected
2. A low awareness of existing university measures hinders effective intervention
