With heavy hearts, we send Sir Boboy to his final resting place today.
Known to many as Boboy or Sir Boboy, he served the university and its students with dedication, especially in Student Affairs Services. As a former Adviser of the Supreme Student Council, he guided student leaders with wisdom, patience, and trust.
He stood at the forefront of the major shift toward online student council elections as the Adviser of the Student Commission on Elections, helping make a process that is accessible, modern, and student-centered.
The Marinero Club was established because of his vision and initiative. From 2021 up until now, he served as its adviser, shaping the club with purpose, values, and camaraderie.
He also shared his passion for sports as one of the coaches of the JBLFMU Billiards Team. Under his mentorship, the team reached a podium finish at the national level, a milestone the university proudly celebrates.
Boboy carried a bubbly and uplifting presence that was impossible to overlook. His bubbly personality, amiable nature, and warmth made collaboration easy, conversations meaningful, and challenges feel lighter. He was always there for us during clutch times and willingly rendered service even at short notice. No task was too urgent, no call for help too sudden. His generosity, grounded character, and readiness to serve inspired many, and his students felt that same sincerity in every interaction.
He was deeply loved by his students, not only for his guidance but for the genuine care he showed them. He was generous, thoughtful, and never held back when extending help, support, or even simple acts of kindness.
To our students, to his colleagues in John B. Molo, and especially to us in the Student Affairs department, his loss is deeply felt.
Sir Boboy, thank you for your service, your leadership, your friendship, your generosity, and the light you shared with all of us.
May your soul rest in eternal peace as you are laid to rest today.
You will be missed.
