She's not aware of where I work.
She has brought in her baby for check up here because it's a reliable hospital in the outskirts of the city. I can see the name before I go to call him in: Michael Miela Chapi
Hmm.. The name strikes me as familiar. There's one Miela Chapi I know. Who could it be? Who could it be?... Oh.. My brother in law!
I don't know him to have a son called Michael. I may have also heard of him having travelled out of the country for work for some 4 months or so. Furthermore, every Sundays and Mondays he's usually at work. In fact, my sister and I will be meeting tomorrow at their house since I'll be off duty.
My patient Michael has now entered my room in the accompany of his parents - my brother in law and a lady I seem to recognise. Wait.. Isn't this Sheila? My sister's colleague?
We have had the longest silence in this room and the hardest stares. The mask is hiding my face well well, but my dreadlocks are giving me away. They know it is me.
"Look," he has offered, "I can pay for your silence on this issue".
