This initiative is focused on mentoring and empowering young women and girls from Northern Nigeria especially Borno State, where years of insurgency and insecurity have disrupted education, limited opportunities, and silenced dreams.

Through digital skills, mentorship, psychosocial support, and community-centered learning, we’re creating pathways for inclusion, confidence, and economic independence. This is about restoring hope, rebuilding agency, and ensuring these young women are not left out of the digital future simply because of where they were born.

Happy New Year from all of us at Digital Rights and Mental Health Initiative Africa (DRMHIA) ✨

Support our new project Women Digital Futures Africa-WDFA led by Mshelia.

Your support helps us reach girls who deserve safety, skills, and a real chance to belong and thrive.

Together, we can turn survival into possibility and exclusion into empowerment. đź’š

As we step into this new year, we’re carrying hope, healing, and collective strength with us. Last year reminded us that caring for mental health especially in digital and tech spaces is not optional, it’s essential. We showed up, held space, and kept choosing humanity in systems that often forget it.

This year, we’re going even harder for:

🫶🏽 community-centered mental health care

🛡️ digital rights with dignity

🌱 healing that is accessible, inclusive, and rooted in justice

To everyone who supported, volunteered, trusted us, and walked this journey with us, thank you. You are the reason this work breathes.

Here’s to a year of rest that is radical, healing that is real, and impact that lasts. We move forward together. 💚

With gratitude and love,

DRMHIA Team
