The Countdwon to our 5th Year Anniversary officially begins!🥳🥳

In just 30 days, we will be marking 5 years of impact, of changing the narrative in Mental Health, of creating spaces for young people to find psychosocial support, of innovating programs and activities that Build the Resilience of Adolescents, Youths and Communities.

We're elated to share with you how this dream begun. And lots of behind the scenes of the beautifully crafted initiative you see today 💜 So walk with us down this memory lane and throwbacks. Don't forget to leave a comment if you see yourself somewhere 😂💜

Friday 13th November marked our first ever engagement. A webinar where we wanted to first present the idea of the initiative, and spark a conversation and interest in conversations around Mental Health.

The reception? Great!! More than welcome had anticipated (Moments before this we were scared we'd be the only ones on the call😂) But we had 50 participants on Zoom and 18 others on Facebook live. You don't know how much your showing up meant. And the motivation it gave us to keep doing this.

This first webinar, was where we resolved to make them a weekly engagement. We'd bring in Mental Health professionals, persons with lived experience etc for sharing on different topics...And by the time we slowed down, we'd done a record 38 webinars 🙌🙌thanks to you showing up constantly.

Seeing a couple of our day ones and passing a big shoutout to them !

On 10th October, we joined the world in marking World Mental Health Day 💜

This year’s theme reminded us of the urgent need to support individuals facing crises, from natural disasters to conflicts, ensuring no one is left behind.
Mental health is a right, not a privilege yet so many still face barriers when seeking the care they need.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Health, the Kenya Psychiatrist Association, and partners, who brought together stakeholders for a national conference in Nairobi to chart a roadmap for a mentally healthy Kenya.

Let’s keep breaking the stigma, amplifying voices, and building systems that make mental health care accessible to all. 💚✨

Today, we join the world in raising our voices for mental health, because mental health is a universal human right. 🌍🧠

Let’s continue breaking the stigma, promoting open conversations, and creating spaces where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported.
Remember, taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. 💭✨

Just a reminder, your mind matters more than you know.💜
Take a moment to check in with yourself, how are you really feeling today?
It’s okay to slow down, to rest, to seek help, and to speak about what’s in your heart.
You are not weak for needing support; you are human.

Let’s break the silence, end the stigma, and create a world where mental wellness is a shared priority.
Remember, you are valued, you are loved, and you are never alone. 💫

On Saturday, over 350 people gathered in Mombasa for a mental health awareness walk organized by the Kenya Counselling & Psychological Association (KCPA), Mombasa, led by Madam Koko (KCPA National Deputy Chairperson) and Madam Jamillah (KCPA Mombasa Chairperson).

The event brought together youths from Likoni, Mvita, Kisauni, Changamwe, Nyali, and Jomvu sub-counties, alongside representatives from Tana River, Kwale, and Lamu counties.

We had several activities for the day which included a public sensitization walk, Psychological First Aid (PFA) sessions, and psycho-education at the SwahiliPot Amphitheatre.

We were honored to be part of the partners in this impactful initiative aimed at raising awareness, reducing stigma, and equipping the community with knowledge and tools for mental health support.💜

On World Su***de Prevention Day, we joined hands with , Tlx, and Mind Haven at Ubunifu Hub for a day of learning, reflection, and connection. 💛

We began with icebreakers that opened hearts and set the stage for honest conversations. Through group discussions and we tackled common myths around su***de, learned practical ways to support a friend in crisis, and even engaged in activities that reminded us of the power of simply showing up for someone who is struggling.

After sharing our collective insights, we paused for tea and laughter before heading outside for games like Kenya at 50, Ludo, and Jenga. These moments reminded us that healing is not only found in heavy conversations but also grows in joy, play, and togetherness.

In the afternoon, each partner organization shared their story and vision, sparking meaningful connections and later on we closed with a photo session that captured not just faces, but the spirit of unity and hope we carried from the day. 💚✨

It was an inspiring day anchored in the belief that every life matters, and that through breaking silence, fighting stigma, and showing kindness, we can extend hope to those who need it the most.

Did you know September is Su***de Prevention Month? 💛

It’s a time dedicated to remind us of the importance of mental health, compassion, and the power of being there for one another. It’s a call to reflect, learn, and take action in supporting those silently battling struggles we may never see.

Globally, su***de ranks high among the three leading causes of death, with an estimated number of 703,000 people losing their lives every year and many more attempting it. In Kenya alone, 4 lives are lost to su***de daily, according to World Health Organization.

Every single life lost is a profound tragedy, because every life is divine, sacred, and irreplaceable. Su***de awareness is not just a campaign for a month, it is our shared responsibility every day.

Join us tomorrow as we raise awareness, foster compassion, and inspire hope courtesy of Me Community 💜
