What happened yesterday 🤔🤔🤔! i came to class only to find empty seats😔 I was told my students were a watching movie featuring the lake and the mountain 😅😅😅.I understand the last Episode is usually the best ,was it a happy ending 🥰 ?? Use,but as you wait for Season 2 ,let's continue where we left .

Signs and symptoms of deep venous thrombosis (DVT)

1.Leg swelling -unsual swelling of the leg is noticed.

2.Leg pain -One experiences a lot of pain which makes it difficult to walk.

3.warmth - When you touch the affected area you feel some warmth

4.change in skin colour-The skin might appear reddish or purple in colour

5. Leg fatigue - one feels so tired and have difficult in walking which makes one immobile.

Causes and Risk factors
1.prolonged inactivity --This can be due to prolonged bed rest, sitting for long many hours e.g long flights this slows blood flow in the veins .

2.leg surgery and injuries - some surgeries can damage the veins and impair blood flow

3.pregnancy-This poses as one of great risk factors.The feotus can compress the veins in the pelvis and the leg.

4. Birth control pills/hormones replacement therapy --This can increase clotting of the blood .

5.cancer-some cancers have substances that increase blood clots.Some cancer treatment increase risk of blood clots.

6.Genetics -some people have DNA that bring clots more easily

7.Obesity-More weight can cause pressure in the veins of the pelvis and legs.
