Do you know the parts of ourselves we try to hide?
You know the ones. The quick flash of jealousy when a friend succeeds. The stubborn pride that stops you from saying "I was wrong." The quiet fear that makes you shrink from a dream.
Our first instinct is to lock them away. To pretend we’re not that person. We shame ourselves for feeling these things, believing they make us "bad."
But what if these unwelcome guests aren't here to destroy you? What if they are messengers, knocking at your door, trying to deliver a truth you need to hear?
That jealousy? It’s not a mark of a bitter heart. It’s a blinking arrow pointing to a deep, unfulfilled desire within you. A dream you’ve been too afraid to claim for yourself.
That pride? It’s not just stubbornness. It’s the fierce, clumsy armor around a part of you that feels incredibly vulnerable and doesn’t know how to ask for help.
That fear? It’s not a stop sign. It’s your body’s ancient way of saying, "This matters so much. Let's proceed with care."
The goal isn't to erase these parts. It’s to sit with them. To listen. To ask, "What are you trying to protect me from? What do you need me to know?"
This is the heart of true growth. It’s not about building a perfect self. It’s about welcoming your whole, messy, beautiful self home, shadow and all.
You are not broken for having these feelings. You are human. And in the gentle act of looking inward, without judgment, you begin to heal.
