MARRIAGE & RELATIONSHIP GRACE
INTRODUCTION
It is not enough for one who is married or single to be a Christian. He or she must also think and act in a Christ-like manner. The Christian’s attitudes and actions must flow from the Gospel of Christ. A Christian marriage or relationship is not governed by the same principles which guide and govern a secular marriage or relationship. The Christian life, including the relationship of marriage, relationship intending to grow into marriage is a supernatural life. A Christian marriage or relationship does not just happen naturally; it happens unnaturally, supernaturally, as we obey the Lordship of Jesus Christ and individually depend upon the grace of God. Christian marriage or friendship is based upon the God-kind of faith, hope, and love, which only the true believer possesses. Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul (1 Peter 2:11)
