MISCARRIAGE
The pain of being told that you are having a miscarriage
The pain of being told that you are in pain because of ectopic pregnancy
The pain of being told that the babies hearts stopped beating
The pain of giving birth to a stillborn
The pain of giving birth but losing the baby after a few days or months
The pain of laying in hospital and seeing people in your room delivering and having their babies while you know that yours couldn’t make it 😞
The pain of losing a child can never be compared to any other pain and it’s something that you shouldn’t even wish on your worst enemy
Losing a child whether it’s by a miscarriage, through surgery, being stillborn or due to natural causes is something else and that pain doesn’t go away🤞🏾😞
I pray that God heals all the broken hearts and blesses us with happiness…

MENSTRUAL CYCLE AND OVULATION PERIOD!!

MENSTRUAL PERIOD: The time blood flows out of your private area, when you use pad.

MENSTRUAL CYCLE: Days it takes to see another blood in the month.
If you last saw your period in April 11th and it started again on May 10th, then you have 30days cycle (count from 11th April to 10th May).
NOTE: It is erroneous to believe its 28days cycle, different women have different cycles ranging from 21-35 days.

OVULATION PERIOD: This is time to get pregnant without stress. This is 2 weeks after your period or 2 weeks before the next period.
Here's a simple way to calculate your ovulation (unsafe) period.
1. From the first day you see the blood of your period.
2. Pick up a calendar and count 14 days including the first day of the blood stain.
3. Mark the 14th day with a pen.
4. Mark 3 days before the 14th day, and mark 2 days after the 14th day.
6. You will notice you have 6 days marked.
These 6 days are your ovulation/fertile days also known as unsafe period. That is if you have s*x on any of these days, then you have 98% chances of being pregnant.
7. Do this every month diligently.

EVERY OTHER DAY IS YOUR SAFE PERIOD. For example:
1. If your period is 11th May, which is this Sunday.
2. 14 days after the first day of the blood stain will be on 24th May (2weeks after) counting from 11th.
3. 14th day is on the 24th May.
4. 3 days before the 14th day is 21, 22, 23.
5. 2days after 24th May is 25 and 26.
6. 21-26th May (6days) is when you are ovulating.
It is your fertile window and period.

Don't forget that the 6 days is a reminder that s***m stays in the female body for about 6 days.
Any s*xual contact in between ovulation period will form something that has ears, eyes, etc. Also,
If you want a baby girl, have
s*x between 3 days before ovulation (21- 23rd).
For a baby boy on the main ovulation day and 3 days after 24th.

PCOS isn’t just about irregular periods or difficulty conceiving. It’s a full-body disorder that affects self-esteem, energy levels, and long-term health.
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF PCOS
1. Menstrual Irregularities:
PCOS can cause irregular periods, with some women skipping menstruation for months. It could either be ;
-Irregular or absent periods (amenorrhea).
-Heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia).
2• Ovarian Cysts: Women with PCOS often develop cysts on their ovaries, which can be seen through an ultrasound scan.
3. Excess Androgen Symptoms:
-Facial Hair (Hirsutism): High male hormone levels may lead to facial hair growth, like beards, which can be stigmatized unfairly. Excessive hair growth on the face, chest, or back.
-Persistent Acne: Severe acne that resists treatment.
-Male Pattern Baldness: Thinning hair or hair loss on the scalp.
-Deepened Voice: This is not very common but possible in severe cases.
Fertility Issues: Difficulty conceiving due to irregular ovulation.
5. Weight-Related Symptoms:
-Unexplained weight gain or difficulty losing weight.
-Obesity is common but not universal.
6. Skin Changes:
-Darkened skin in areas like the neck, armpits, and under the breasts (acanthosis nigricans).
-Skin tags, particularly in areas of friction.
7. Pelvic Pain: Chronic or intermittent pelvic discomfort.
8. Mood and Emotional Symptoms:
-Depression and anxiety.
-Emotional distress due to physical symptoms and hormonal imbalances.
9. Fatigue and Low Energy: Feeling tired or sluggish due to hormonal shifts and insulin resistance.
10. Enlarged Cl****is and Muscles: Rare but possible symptoms due to high androgen levels.

HORMONAL IMBALANCE IN MEN
Hormones play a key role in regulating various functions of your body.
This includes metabolism, growth, mood and your s*xual health.
When your hormones are out of shape, it can lead to obvious health issues.
WHAT IS HORMONAL IMBALANCE?
Hormonal imbalance is a situation where the level of your hormones is either too high or too low to meet the body’s requirements.
In men, this often involves testosterone, but it's not limited to that.
Other hormones like cortisol, thyroid hormones, and even insulin are also implicated.
These hormones may either be too high or too low.
Oftentimes, the lower level is the case
WHAT ARE THE COMMON CAUSES
Many factors contribute to hormonal imbalances in men, and we will look at them right here ;
-Stress: Stress can increase the level of cortisol in your body and especially chronic stress.
-Aging: Testosterone levels naturally decline with age. So, as you get older, it's ain't natural that you lose some to old age
-Medical Conditions: Conditions like hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism can also influence your hormone profile
-Lifestyle Factors: Things like Poor diet, lack of exercise, and poor sleep at also implicated
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS TO LOOK OUT FOR?
-Mood Changes: feeling easily irritated, depressed, or having anxiety..
-Low Libido: Reduced interest in ge***al parties and other activities related to that.
-Muscle Loss: As a man, seeing your muscle mass and strength diminishing is a red flag
-Fatigue: Chronic tiredness despite adequate rest is a red flag
-Weight Gain: if you're gaining unnecessary weight, especially around the abdomen, this might be a sign
-Difficulty sleeping; initiation or maintenance
-Presence of acne and showing aggressiveness
-Low blood pressure and irregular heartbeat

THE FERTILE WINDOW
The fertile window is the only time in a woman’s cycle when fertilization can happen, leading to pregnancy.
Yet, many women are unaware of this or struggle to recognize the signs.
WHAT IS THE MENSTRUAL CYCLE?
The menstrual cycle is a finely tuned hormonal process that was designed to prepare a woman’s body for pregnancy.
A typical cycle lasts for 28 days, however anything between 21 and 35 days is considered normal.
The cycle is divided into 4 phases, each of them with varying hormonal changes.
PHASES OF THE MENSTRUAL CYCLE
1. Menstrual phase (Day 1-5)
This phase begins on the first day of bleeding and can last as short as 3 days or as long as 7 days.
It occurs when pregnancy has not taken place, and the lining of the uterus is shed through the va**na.
In this phase, hormone levels of estrogen and progesterone are extremely low.
Common symptoms include:
- Cramping
- Fatigue and tiredness
- Mood swings
- Bleeding.
2. FOLLICULAR PHASE (Day 1-13)
The follicular phase overlaps with the menstrual phase, but continues without it.
It is the period where the follicles are stimulated by the follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and one becomes dominant enough to mature an egg.
Here, estrogen levels rise for a bit to thicken the uterus for possible pregnancy.
3. OVULATION (14th day of your cycle)
Ovulation occurs around day 14 of your cycle, and it is triggered by a sharp rise in leuteinizing hormone.
Here, the mature egg is released into the fallopian tube to wait for the s***m.
This is the most fertile time in the cycle, and it lasts for 12-24 hours.
Signs of ovulation include:
- Clear, and stretchy cervical mucus
- Mild stomach pain or twinge
- Increased s*x drive
- Slight rise in basal body temperature (after ovulation).
LUTEAL PHASE (Day 15-28)
This is the last phase of the cycle.
Here, the ruptured follicle forms the corpus luteum, which secretes progesterone.
Progesterone is the female hormone responsible for maintaining pregnancy.
If fertilization does not occur:
- The corpus luteum breaks down
- Hormone levels plummet
- The cycle starts all over again, with menstruation.
WHAT IS THE FERTILE WINDOW?
The fertile window is simply the six-day period in a woman’s cycle when she’s most likely to become pregnant.
It includes:
- 5 days leading to the ovulation
- The day of the ovulation
Why is this?
The egg only survives for 12 - 24 hours, however s***m can live in the female reproductive tract for up to 5 days.
This enables them lie in wait for the egg, and for fertilization to occur.
HOW DO YOU TRACK YOUR FERTILE WINDOW?
Your fertile window is 5 days leading to ovulation, and your ovulation day.
Ovulation usually occurs mid-cycle and if you have a 28 days cycle, it occurs on the 14th.
However, if your cycle is longer, subtract 14 from the length of days. Whatever number you get is your ovulation date.
For example: 32-14 =18. Your ovulation would be on the 18th if you have a 32-day cycle.
Other ways include:
- Cervical mucus monitoring: Look for stretchy and egg white consistency mucus
- Basal body temperature: Slight increase in temperature after ovulation
- Ovulation prediction kits: Detects the surge of leuteinizing hormone before ovulation.
- Cycle tracking apps: Helps you predict fertile days based on past cycle.

VA**NA CANDIDIASIS
Vaginal candidiasis is also known as a yeast infection, occurs when there is an overgrowth of yeast, mostly a fungus called Candida, in the va**na.
This overgrowth disrupts the normal balance of microorganisms, leading to symptoms that can cause discomfort.
It is very common, about 75% of women has experienced it at least one in their lifetime

What causes it?
- Antibiotic Abuse
These can kill off the good bacteria in the va**na that normally keep yeast in check.
- Hormonal Change
Pregnancy, birth control pills, or menopause can alter hormone levels, which might increase the risk.
- Diabetes
High blood sugar levels can help yeast grow more easily.
- Weak Immune System
Conditions like HIV or medications like steroids (prednisolone, dexamethasone) can weaken the body's defenses against infections
- Tight Synthetic Clothes
This will trap moisture and create a perfect environment for yeast growth.

Symptoms
- Burning and itching in the va**na
- thick white discharge, it usually does not have a strong odor.
- The v***a may become red and swollen due to irritation.
- Pain during s*x and urination

ENDOMETRIOSIS AWARENESS
Endometriosis affects millions of women, yet it’s often misunderstood or misdiagnosed.
Severe pain, fertility struggles, and daily discomfort, this condition is more than just "bad periods."

WHAT IS ENDOMETRIOSIS?
It is a health condition where tissue similar to the lining inside your uterus, called the endometrium, starts to grow outside the uterus
This can happen on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or other parts of the pelvic area.
It’s important to know that this tissue behaves like it would inside the uterus, it thickens, breaks down, and bleeds with each menstrual cycle.
However, because it has no way to leave the body, it gets trapped, leading to pain and other problems.
COMMON SYMPTOMS
- The most noticeable symptom of endometriosis is PAIN
- This pain is often most severe during menstruation but can occur at other times too
- Painful periods, cramps and lower back pain that may start before and extend several days into your period
- Pain during or after s*x is common with endometriosis.
- You may experience heavy periods or bleeding between periods
- Endometriosis is often diagnosed in women seeking treatment for infertility.🥲
- Constipation, bloating, tiredness during periods
IMPACT ON FERTILITY
It is one of the leading causes of infertility
More than 30% women with endometriosis may experience difficulty getting pregnant.
This is because the condition can cause scar tissue (adhesions), block fallopian tubes, and create an environment that is not conducive to pregnancy
However, many women with endometriosis can still conceive and have healthy pregnancies

OVULATION

Ovulation is a key part of the menstrual cycle, but its importance goes beyond just releasing an egg.
It plays a major role in fertility, pregnancy, and even overall health.
Whether you're trying to conceive, avoid pregnancy, or monitor your reproductive health, understanding ovulation matters.

HOW DOES OVULATION WORK?

Your body controls ovulation with hormones:
- FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) helps eggs grow inside tiny sacs called follicles in the o***y.
- Estrogen rises as one follicle becomes dominant, preparing the body for ovulation.
- LH (Luteinizing Hormone) Surge triggers the release of the egg.
Once the egg is released, it travels into the fallopian tube, where it waits for s***m.
The egg only lives for 12–24 hours, but s***m can survive inside the reproductive tract for up to 5 days.
That’s why the days before ovulation are the most fertile days 👏🏽👏🏽
OVULATION AND HORMONAL HEALTH
Ovulation is not just about fertility, it’s a sign of a healthy hormonal system.
Irregular or absent ovulation can signal conditions like:
- Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS): A common cause of irregular ovulation due to hormone imbalances.
- Thyroid Disorders: Both hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism can disrupt ovulation.
- High Stress or Extreme Exercise: Can delay or stop ovulation.

ANTI MULLERIAN HORMONE (AMH)
Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is a protein in the body that we usually test for its levels to get a clue on how many eggs are left in the female body before menopause.

AMH plays a key role in developing a baby's s*x organs while in the womb. AMH levels are higher in male babies, as this prevents them from developing female reproductive organs. Female babies only need a small amount of AMH for their development.

Typical AMH level for a fertile woman is 1.0–4.0 ng/ml; under 1.0 ng/ml is considered low and indicative of a diminished ovarian reserve.

Low levels of AMH mean you may have fewer eggs available and may not respond well to treatment. You may also need an AMH test if you are a woman with symptoms of polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS). These include: Menstrual disorders, including early menopause or amenorrhea
AMH levels are invariably higher than normal in women with PCOS. Due to a high number of antral follicles in PCOS, the normal menstrual function is disturbed, which leads to irregular cycles, arrest in the maturation of eggs, and resultant sub-fertility.
Our fertility boosters will help you to boost your AMH LEVELS.

The most common symptoms are:-Missed periods, irregular periods or very light periods
-Ovaries that are large or have many cysts
-Excess body hair, including the chest, stomach and back
-Weight gain, especially around the belly (abdomen)
-Acne or oily skin
-Male-pattern baldness or thinning hair
