According to WHO, Diabetes prevalence in Kenya is on the rise currently at 4.0% or more of the general population between ages 20 - 79yrs and by 2025 the prevalence projected is upto 4.5%. Most people are undiagnosed and those that are diagnosed do not have adequate knowledge on Diabetes Self Management that would lead them to live a healthy life even though living with Diabetes.
DESS brings this service to all people living with diabetes and their families to help them live healthy lives with Diabetes, it also trains them on the practical skills on how to monitor and manage their blood sugar on a day to day basis to prevent or Delay complications associated with Diabetes like heart disease, kidney failure, problems with eyes, erectile dysfunction and the like.
Dess also supports you to manage diabetes in a way that works for you and your lifestyle.
