KPA delivered a powerful address presented by ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‚๐ฅ๐ž๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐Ž๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐จ, ๐’๐ž๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ, on this yearโ€™s theme:
โ€œAnchorage of the Local Pharma Manufacturing Industry to AI and Regulatory Compliance in Achieving Enhanced National Universal Health.โ€

In his remarks, Mr. Cletus highlighted the pressing challenges undermining access to essential healthcare in Kenya and outlined five key pillars that, if addressed, would greatly improve access:

When entering their enrolment numbers, our members previously found that their records did not appear in the SHA system. This hindered service delivery, as they could not access the system to attend to patients.

Through discussions with SHA, KPA has now successfully resolved this issue, and members can now serve patients without interruption.

The Pharmacy and Poisons Act (Cap. 244), Section 2, recognizes our professional cadre name as Pharmaceutical Technologist.

Recently, the Social Health Authority (SHA) portal/system and the MoH Digital Superhighway had incorrectly listed our cadre as Pharmacy Technician.

KPA, through constructive engagement with SHA, has successfully corrected this misrepresentation, ensuring our rightful designation is now reflected across the systems.
