We are excited to announce that the CAADP Kampala Summit ( ) is almost here! Join us in Kampala, Uganda, January 9-11, 2025, under the theme "One Voice One Land" as we explore truly sustainable land management and its importance to food security.

The African Union CAADP Kampala 2025 Summit will bring together over 2,000 delegates, including government leaders, the private sector, farmer organizations, farmers, and the public, to ensure the successful implementation of the post-Malabo CAADP agenda. It’s a chance to make an impact where it matters most.

Collaborating with women-led organizations in Nakuru County to cultivate fruit trees and support local livelihoods.

Funds raised for each tree planted contributes to preserving our oceans.

Avec les mesures et les réglementations adaptées, l’Afrique créera un environnement propice aux interventions pour les sols et pour l’engrais. La Déclaration de Nairobi souligne le besoin de:

Développer des recommandations pour que les pays africains puissent créer les mesures politique en faveur de la santé des sols, à travers le continent
Homogénéiser les mesures et les réglementations aux niveaux nationaux et régionaux, pour promouvoir le commerce
Renforcer les liens entre l’agriculture et le secteur privé
Renforcer nos partenariats privés pour encourager les investissements dans la chaîne de valeur de l’engrais

L’Afrique s’engage à développer et à promouvoir le développement des capacités pour la bonne pratique en ce qui concerne la gestion des sols. En faisant ceci, nous pourrions:

Établir les réseaux régionaux pour les recherches et pour échanger les connaissances et les technologies
En collaboration avec les parties prenantes; faire construire, renforcer et normaliser les services des laboratoires afin d’assurer la qualité de nos engrais
Mettre en opération le “African Centre for Fertilizer Development”, à Harare au Zimbabwe

La nature intégrée des domaines agricoles et de la santé des sols en Afrique nécessite de mettre en priorité la conservation des sols et des eaux - ceci devrait être au niveau des bassins versants, et des lignes de partage des eaux pour vraiment renforcer nos sols.

Les états-membres doivent favoriser la coopération régionale, pour bien exploiter les opportunités créées par;
une politique harmonieuse en ce qui concerne l’engrais,
le regroupement des investissements qui augmente la capacité des pays et du continent de produire les engrais
le commerce transfrontalier simplifié
les recherches collaboratifs
le renforcement des capacités
la formation et le partage de savoir-faire entre pays

Le collaboration servira aussi à résoudre les points faibles dans la livraison du dernier kilomètre.

Africa has committed to develop and promote systemic national capacity building for locally relevant fertilizer and soil health management practices. It seeks to:

a. Establish regional research and development networks for the exchange of knowledge and technologies.
b. Build, strengthen, and standardize the fertilizer analysis capacity and services of laboratories in accordance with fertilizer quality standards in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
c. Capacitate the African Centre for Fertilizer Development in Harare, Zimbabwe.

With the right policies and regulations, Africa aims to create a conducive environment for fertilizer and soil health interventions. The Nairobi Declaration on Africa Fertilizer and Soil Health articulates the need to:
a. Develop continent-wide, context-specific guidelines for the formulation and implementation of relevant and effective fertilizer and soil health policies.
b. Harmonize national and regional policies and regulatory frameworks to ensure coherence and promote regional and continental trade.
c. Enhance engagement and dialogue with the private sector.
d. Strengthen public private partnerships to enhance investments in the fertilizer value chain.
