Hey lovely people! 🌸

We all know of a moody girl or woman somewhere. At school, at home, in the office, etc. Did you know that it often has to do with some hormonal issues women go through at different times in life?

Maybe the common ones we know or guess are pregnancy, mental health conditions, or side effects of medicine, right?

Today, I want us to open up our minds for a little learning that could just help us relate better and understand women’s hormonal issues.

Let’s talk about some uncommon hormonal issues:

1.Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS): This involves physical and emotional symptoms that occur one to two weeks before menstruation.

2.Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD): A more severe form of PMS, characterized by extreme mood swings, irritability, and depression.

3.Premenstrual Exacerbations: Life-threatening intensification of symptoms of chronic conditions like asthma, depression, or migraines before menstruation.

4.Post-Delivery Mood Disorders: Includes baby blues, postpartum depression, and postpartum psychosis, affecting women after childbirth.

Here are some common signs and Symptoms:
Mood swings
Irritability
Fatigue
Depression
Anxiety
Changes in sleep patterns

Note:
I urge them with extreme symptoms to seek medical from your doctor.

For those with mild symptoms, here's a list of my suggestions of natural Remedies that work.

1.Hydration: Keep the water flowing! 🌊 (Trust me, your body will thank you.)

2.Therapeutic Foods: Eat foods rich in Vitamin B6, like bananas and chickpeas.

3.Swimming: Dive into relief!

4.Music: Let the tunes lift your mood.

5 Yoga: Stretch your way to calm.

6.Breathing Techniques (STOP acronym): Stop, Take a breath, Observe, and Proceed.

7.Some supplements may help, but always consult your doctor first:
Magnesium
Vitamin B Complex
Biocare

Let’s be supportive of the women in our lives, and ensure those experiencing extreme symptoms are seen by a doctor.

Happy Kidney Care Monday, everyone! 🌟

There’s so much lined up for you on every Kidney Care Monday, but folks, we've got to start somewhere. Do you agree? 😄

Know Your Kidneys: The Silent Workers
You probably recall your science/biology teacher saying kidneys make urine... aha, correct! ✔️ But beyond that, can you recall the rest? Laugh... don't think too hard. Nurse Rose got you!

I’m going to explain kidney function like no other teacher does, and you'll be sure never to forget. Let's use the analogy of balloons of very basic colours to match each function:

🔴 Red Balloon: Filters blood
🟡 Yellow Balloon: Removes waste
🔵 Blue Balloon: Balances body water
Oops, there's someone who has noted I have not mentioned the 🟢 green balloon. Well, it is not going to symbolize a function today but it’s to remind us of the importance of caring for our environment to prevent diseases.

But guess what, folks? There's much more the kidneys do. You’ll be surprised!

They make healthy bones.
They produce red blood cells.
They maintain acid-base balance.
They remove drugs from the body.
Amazing, huh? If you ask me, the kidneys should be called robots – they do so much!

Action
Do yourself a favour and stay tuned to this series because soon you'll learn what happens in your entire body once kidney function is lost. From head to toe – actually, from hair to toe 💅 – there's gonna be some hiccups.

Share this information with friends and family because it's only when we acknowledge the contribution (roles) of the kidneys that we will get interested in learning what to do to keep our kidneys functioning normally.

That’s it for Kidney Care Monday with Nurse Rose. I’m looking forward to hearing your personal stories with kidney health challenges, as well as any questions or suggestions on topics you’d like to cover.

For personalized guidance through kidney disease, reach out to me via DM, and I’ll engage further with you to offer individualized support. Together, we’ll become kidney warriors and come out stronger!

Remember to follow Nurse Rose for valuable information and a touch of humour! 💖

🌟 Attention Ladies! 🌟

Did you know that women are at a higher risk for kidney disease due to several unique health challenges? Let's break it down:

🚺 Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs):
Frequent UTIs can lead to serious kidney issues if not treated promptly. Maintaining good hygiene, especially during menstruation, is crucial to prevent these infections.

🤰 Childbirth Risks:
Complications during childbirth, such as severe bleeding, can put women at risk of acute kidney injury. It's important to have access to proper healthcare and support during and after pregnancy.

💊 Painful Periods:
Many women suffer from painful periods and may resort to overusing painkillers or herbal remedies. While these can provide relief, they also increase the risk of kidney damage. Let’s explore natural pain relief methods and safe medication practices.

🩸 Heavy Menstrual Bleeding:
Prolonged and heavy periods can lead to anemia and increase the risk of acute kidney injury. If you're experiencing this, seek medical advice to manage your symptoms effectively.

💧 Hygiene Challenges:
Women and girls from low socio-economic backgrounds often face challenges in maintaining menstrual hygiene, which increases the risk of UTIs. Access to proper sanitary products and education on menstrual health is vital for everyone.

💪 Let's Take Action Together:

Spread Awareness: Share this information with the women in your life.
Seek Support: Don't hesitate to reach out to healthcare professionals if you're experiencing any of these issues.
Empower Each Other: Let’s involve men, support one another in schools and workplaces, and remember that menstruation can come with mood swings—let’s cheer our women and girls up! 😄👏
This year’s theme for World Menstrual Hygiene Day is "A Period Friendly World"—let’s work towards making that a reality! 🌍❤️

Stay tuned to Nurse Rose for more tips on kidney health, women’s health, diabetes, high blood pressure, and more. Trust me, you have no choice but to follow me—you won’t regret it! 😉
