The plantar fascia is designed to store and release energy. When the ankles lose mobility, calves overwork, hips and core stop contributing, force no longer spreads through the system. It concentrates at the foot.
Over time, the tissue becomes irritated, dehydrated and less elastic. You experience pain especially after resting or during your first steps in the morning. This is not because your fascia is weak, but because it’s overwhelmed.
Through functional movement, fascia regains elasticity, muscles coordinate efficiently, the nervous system feels safe again and pain reduces sustainably.
