🔹 How it develops

1. A child or young person gets strep throat.
2. If not treated properly with antibiotics, the immune system overreacts.
3. This reaction can cause inflammation in the heart, joints, skin, and brain → called rheumatic fever.
4. Over time, repeated inflammation damages the heart valves (especially the mitral and aortic valves).
5. The damaged valves don’t open or close properly, leading to Rheumatic Heart Disease.

🔹 Signs & Symptoms of RHD
Shortness of breath (especially during exercise or when lying down)
Chest pain or palpitations (fast/irregular heartbeat)
Swelling in the legs, ankles, or abdomen
Fatigue and weakness
Heart murmur (abnormal heart sound doctors can hear)

🔹 Risk Factors
Untreated or repeated strep throat infections
Poor access to healthcare
Crowded living conditions (spread of strep infections is higher)
More common in children and young adults (ages 5–15)

🔹 Complications
If untreated, RHD can lead to:
Heart failure
Stroke (blood clots due to abnormal valves)

🟡 Understanding Liver Cirrhosis: The Silent Damage 🟡

Liver cirrhosis occurs when healthy liver tissue is gradually replaced by scar tissue, impairing the liver's ability to function. This progressive condition can be caused by chronic alcohol abuse, hepatitis, or fatty liver disease. Symptoms of cirrhosis may include fatigue, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), swelling in the legs, and abdominal pain.

Early detection and lifestyle changes can help slow its progression.

🫀 Why Do BP & Heart Problems Really Happen?
(According to Lakeside Wellness centre – Not Just Symptoms, But Root Causes!)

Modern medicine sees Blood Pressure as a numbers game. But we look deeper.

🔍 According to Lakeside wellness centre :

BP issues are due to an imbalance in the Vyana Vayu – the body's internal "preservation" force.
When this force weakens, your body loses its natural ability to relax under pressure – leading to high, low, or fluctuating BP.

Heart problems are caused by a disturbance in the Dakshinagni – the "digestive fire" that powers your heart's strength and stamina.
A weak Dakshinagni means your heart struggles to function in tough conditions – leading to breathlessness, fatigue, chest pain, and even blockages.

💡 The Real Issue?
Your system has lost its resilience – the ability to function effortlessly during physical, mental or emotional stress.

🌬️ Lakeside wellness doesn’t just manage BP/heart levels — it strengthens the exact forces. For quick assistance WhatsApp or call on 0790 391648

⚠️ Risk Factors for Occipital Nerve Pressure:
1. Poor Posture
Prolonged forward head posture (e.g., looking down at phone or laptop).
Slouching or sleeping with the head in an awkward position.
2. Muscle Tension or Spasms
Tight neck or upper back muscles (especially suboccipital muscles).
Often caused by stress, anxiety, or overuse.
3. Neck Injuries
Whiplash from accidents.
Falls or sudden jerks of the head or neck.
4. Repetitive Neck Strain
Repetitive movements or holding the neck in one position too long (e.g., hairstylists, drivers, office workers).
5. Arthritis or Cervical Spine Problems
Osteoarthritis or degenerative disc disease in the neck can compress nearby nerves.
6. Trauma or Surgery
Surgical scars, head injuries, or trauma in the neck/head area may irritate the nerves.
7. Nerve Inflammation or Compression
Due to infections, tumors, or cysts pressing on the occipital nerves.
8. Tight Headgear or Helmets
Continuous pressure on the back of the head.
9. Underlying Medical Conditions
Diabetes, gout, or infections like shingles can inflame nerves.
🧠 Summary:
Anyone with long-term neck strain, muscle tension, or spinal problems is at higher risk of developing occipital nerve pressure. Addressing posture and managing stress early can help prevent it.

Sciatic nerve pain, commonly known as sciatica, is caused by irritation, inflammation, pinching, or compression of the sciatic nerve — the largest nerve in the body, which runs from the lower back down to the legs.
✅ Common Causes of Sciatica:
1. Herniated or slipped disc

2. Spinal stenosis

Sitting for long periods or lack of movement can trigger or worsen sciatica.
4. Occupation
