What is D.R.E.A.M
D.R.E.A.M 2.0 is an acronym meaning Disease Relief through Excellent and Advanced Means ".Initially the acronym stood for “Drug Resource Enhancement Against AIDS and MAlnutrition.”This expanded definition arose from the fact that with treatment, HIV patients continue to achieve a good quality of life and with it come challenges from other diseases such as non-communicable illnessess.
The DREAM Center of Nairobi was opened on April 25th, 2008. It is located in an area of Nairobi known as Karen on Langata Road.
The center is run by the Community of Sant’Egidio – which has also funded the center through the DREAM Kenya Trust – in partnership with the Congregation of the Daughters of Charity.
Our services are directed towards testing for and treatment of H.I.V and it’s related complications. We have also expanded our services to include screening of cervical cancer,prostate cancer, breast cancer diabetes mellitus,hypertension among other non communicable diseases.
