πŸ’œ Cervical Cancer Awareness Month πŸ’œ
Cervical cancer is a cancer of the cervix, most commonly caused by persistent infection with the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). It may start silently, but signs can include abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, pain during s*x, or unusual discharge.
Screening saves lives. A Pap smear checks for early cell changes and should be done every 3 years from age 21, and every 3–5 years from age 30 or as advised by a healthcare provider.
The HPV vaccine is a powerful tool for prevention. It is recommended for girls aged 9–14 years (best before s*xual debut) and for girls and women up to 26 years.
Prevention is possible. Get vaccinated, get screened, and encourage another woman to do the same πŸ’œ

we join the world in marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD).
This year, we reaffirm our commitment to equality, inclusion, and accessible healthcare for all especially individuals living with disabilities who continue to face barriers in care, employment, and community participation.
At ONS-K, we advocate for cancer care that is inclusive, respectful, and aligned with the unique needs of every patient.
Let us continue building systems that protect dignity, promote access, and champion the rights of persons with disabilities.
