Community Health Partners Kenya

Community Health Partners Kenya CHP Kenya, in partnership with CMF, is a NGO committed to providing quality healthcare and health education to the local Maasai communities in East Africa.

Community Health Partners Kenya was born out of the Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMF) ministry, which has been serving the local Maasai communities of Narok and Kajiado counties since 1984. CMF founded and supported CHP to become an independent, locally run, non-profit, and non-government organization. It was registered as such in 2011. The mission of CHP is to provide accessible, quality, and affordable health services for all people. Its core values include accountability, transparency, professionalism, responsibility, confidentiality, networking, performance, teamwork, compassion, patience, and optimism. CHP strives to improve the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable habitants of the sub-counties of Narok South. The majority of the population is Maasai, a tribal group known for their exquisite beading and jewelry, unique dress, and cultural ceremonies. The population faces many health challenges due to the remoteness of the area, poverty, and limited access to health care facilities. CHP implements diverse health, nutrition, WASH, and school health programs in Osupuko division of Narok and Kajaido counties. The first established health center is located in Elangata Enterit. Some of the services they provide are outpatient care, HIV counseling and treatment, labor and delivery, laboratory, and mother and child vaccinations. Over the years, CHP has been able establish 9 other health centers or dispensaries in Talek, Mararianda, Olkoroi, Ewaso Ngiro, Kumba, Olesere, Aitong, St Elizabeth, and Endoinyo Erinka. In addition to the established facilities, CHP sends out several mobile clinics to attend to the health needs of the most remote and unreached communities in the region on a monthly basis. These facilities partner with community health volunteers to bring health awareness and advocacy to the Maasai people and communities. It is our prayer that God continues to bless CHP Kenya as we commit ourselves in service to Jesus Christ and to the health and social needs of the communities we are able to reach. Please join us in prayer and support as we carry forward with this mission.
