In January of 2011 a group of individuals came together and formed an organization which was named as Center for Education and Participatory Rural Development (CEPARD) and it was formally registered as a community based organization (CBO), It was envisaged that it will be a center for propagating and facilitating educational values necessary for igniting the participation of rural communities in their development processes.
To day we celebrate 10 years of community service and i want to thank our partners Kenya2020 in a special way for enabling us reach where we are today,
I also want to appreciate over 250 students from Peter Symonds Collage who came out to support our projects you are indeed you are our heros,
I want to appreciate our team here on the ground who manged to get to where we are today
Community dymanics change daily we must have tackled a number of needs but some have come up along the way we are still open to any partnership especially in our Primary health care project and women and sustainable livelihood project
Thank you so much

Mobilizing Youth to participate in Environmental Conseravtion
We have developed three key themes these calls for converting the themes into transformative actions to forward youth-led environmental initiatives in upcoming years. Such actions can build the decision-making capacities of youth, who will eventually lead the sectors concerned with Environmental Conseravtion.
To facilitate such transformation, innovative strategies are needed to reach a critical mass of young people who can serve as champions of technologies and practices dedicated to addressing environmental -related issues.
It's therefore everyones responsibility to champion environmental conseravtion since we only have one planet earth and there's no where to run.

Since 2011, Kenya2020 introduced the first rainwater harvesting initiative through donating 10,000 litters water tank to Primary schools in the area where we have been working here in Kenya. Cepard has been partnering with K2020 to develop and integrate water and sanitation project. The initiative to date provides a population of 580 pupils at Alara primary school 98 pupils at Kombe Community School and will soon be reaching 170 students at AMSS and a number of homes that surrounds our Kinda biye community center this brings our direct beneficiaries to 848 people who have access to clean water and good sanitation in our community.
The water and sanitation crisis in this community remains critical, and it’s our sincere hope that with your continued support we shall reach even more people with this valuable product
