We paid a courtesy call to the office of our MP Elijah Memusi Kanchory concerning the lack of ramps at the newly constructed two floors classrooms at St Patrick Kajiado Township Secondary School.
Our brothers and sisters with disability are struggling to access the classrooms.
We were received by the NGCDF fund manager.
He assured us on behalf of the Mp, they're making sure all buildings done by NGCDF are disability friendly.

According to the 2022 Kenya Demographics & Health Survey,36 % of women in Kajiado County aged between 15-49 have experienced physical violence since age 15.
This is higher than the National average of 34%.
We attended a 2 day sensitization & capacity building initiative for first line responders, human rights defenders & boda boda riders organized by Gender Violence Recovery Centre ; Nairobi Women's Hospital .
We learnt about,
✓ Role of first line responders.
✓ Identifying a survivor of GBV.
✓ Immediate care & support for survivors.
✓ Confidentiality & safety of information.
✓ Essential & practical skills for 1 st line responders.
✓ Developing response plan.
✓ Challenges of 1 st line responders face.
✓ Importance of Self Care for the 1 st line responders.
Let's join hands in eradicating GBV in Kajiado County.
