We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our members who drowned in Shimba Hills following the heavy rains. As a fraternity, this is a painful moment for all of us.

The departed will be laid to rest tomorrow at their home. We stand in solidarity with their families, friends, and fellow riders during this difficult time. May their souls rest in peace.

We take this moment to urge all our members to exercise extreme caution as the rains continue. Avoid flooded areas, be vigilant on the roads, and prioritize your safety at all times. No trip is worth a life.

Let us remain united, support the affected families, and look out for one another.

Good News to All Our Members and the General Public in Diani, Ukunda and Environs!

We are pleased to inform you that Golden Karafuu, located along Beach Road next to Terminal 2 in Ukunda, is now open 24 hours. This is a big step forward as Ukunda continues to grow into a true 24-hour economy no more worries about finding a place open late at night.

We have also secured a special arrangement for all bodaboda riders working both day and night:

↘️ Any rider who refers clients to Golden Karafuu at night (after midnight) will receive a special buffet meal (Pilau or another set meal) absolutely FREE.
↘️ Riders will be served without any questions — just eat and continue with your work.

Let us take advantage of this opportunity and continue supporting businesses that support riders. The more clients you refer, the more you benefit.

On 6th December 2024, we appointed Hon. Abubakar Mkumbuka Banzi as the Kwale Bodaboda Patron after extensive consultations and engagement.

He committed to real empowerment and he has kept his word. Through his support, electric bodaboda and tuktuks have been introduced, opening doors for local assembly in Kwale, service centres, and direct job creation.

This initiative is about real change, sustainable transport, and economic empowerment.
It is not for a few individuals, or certain group but for Kwale County and the nation at large.

We appreciate Hon. Abubakar for standing with the bodaboda sector and supporting progress.

Reaffirming Our Unity in Kwale

We wish to set the record straight and dismiss any rumours suggesting division within Kwale. There is full freedom of association, and since the election of Chairman Kiwa to lead the Organizations Base Movement and the appointment of Rajab to act on behalf of BAK Kwale, our unity has remained strong.

We continue to stand united under our Patron Abubakar Mkumbuka Banzi and Chairman KNCCI, reaffirming our unwavering support for our able Governor Fatuma Achani and her administration.

We are proud that in Kwale, we are all speaking one language development, peace, and progress.

Special appreciation to Nehemiah for bringing the tuktuk sector together through the collaboration of both Ukunda Owners and Drivers Sacco and Kwats Cooperative. This unity is the foundation of our collective growth.

Today in Ukunda, our team was pleased to receive ,escorts and welcome Governor Fatuma Achani and Deputy governor Chirema Kombo as she graced the Women and Youth Empowerment Program. We are proud to note that three women and youth groups that had opened companies were awarded tenders a great step toward real empowerment and inclusivity.

During the event, our Ukunda Chairman took the opportunity to appreciate the Governor’s efforts and requested that similar empowerment initiatives be extended to bodaboda operators, who continue to play a vital role in our economy and community development.

We sincerely appreciate Governor Achani and the County Government of Kwale for their continued commitment to youth empowerment and development. This is true leadership that uplifts and transforms lives.
