🌸🥚 The Hidden Origins of Easter & The Sacred Egg 🥚🌸
Many believe Easter is purely a Christian celebration… but its roots go much deeper, woven through ancient earth wisdom, fertility rites, and rebirth mysteries 🌿✨
Long before modern traditions, spring was honoured as a time of awakening — when the Earth comes back to life after winter. This sacred turning point was celebrated by ancient cultures across the world.
One of the key figures linked to Easter is the goddess Eostre (also known as Ostara), a powerful symbol of dawn, fertility, and new beginnings 🌅
Her festivals were held around the spring equinox — a time of balance, renewal, and rebirth.
🥚 So where does the egg come from?
The egg has always been a sacred symbol of life, creation, and potential.
Ancient people saw it as a representation of the universe itself — something that holds life within, waiting to emerge.
In many traditions, eggs were decorated and gifted to honour fertility, abundance, and new cycles beginning 🌼
🐇 And the rabbit?
Rabbits were sacred to Eostre because of their incredible fertility — symbolising creation, growth, and the rapid return of life to the land.
As Christianity spread, these older pagan traditions began to blend with the story of resurrection — creating the Easter we know today.
✨ So beneath the chocolate eggs and springtime celebrations lies something ancient and powerful…
A reminder that no matter how dark or heavy things feel — life always returns, energy always renews, and you too can rise again.
🌿 This is the true magick of this season… rebirth, renewal, and remembering who you are becoming 🌼
