We envisage a world where each woman
is nurtured, heard, and valued and has
the information, resources, confidence,
and support she requires to achieve the best possible pregnancy, birth,
and mothering experience. In such a world, her baby would be born
with a fair and equal chance at life and love. Please give if you can to support this work. Paypal - fremo_birth2023@yahoo.com

100% of donations go to centre. Asante Sana. October 2015 ... more than 2000 babies have been born at the FreMo Birth Centre. More than 96% of women attending the clinic are achieving a normal birth. FreMo is a shining beacon for maternity care in Kenya, and indeed, the world.
-----------------
Almost 200 women gave birth at the FreMo Birth Centre in 2013, amongst them several breech-born babies and twins. "Women and families are smiling"

Donations can be made into the freMo Fundraising account. I pay all my own expenses including airfares. 100% of donations go directly to enhancing the centre through medical supplies and equipment, clothes and blankets for mothers and babies, maintaining water and electricity, property improvement and maintenance, and in the future, a vehicle! http://vicki-chan.blogspot.com.au/
June 2011 The FreMo Medical and future birth Centre is situated in the Kawangare slum an informal settlement with its inhabitants living mostly on less than $1 per day in makeshift shanties without access to public health services, piped water, or sewage system. Due to poverty, overcrowding, crime, and unemployment; living conditions are extremely poor. HIV/AIDS, TB, water-borne diseases, and malaria are commonplace and maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity high. In 2009, two young men; brothers, Moffat (the administrator) and Fred (the doctor) began with a dream, minimal resources, and the financial backing of friends, family, and their own savings and opened a small medical clinic in the heart of the slum to serve this impoverished community.
Chan is a mother of four, a midwife, and a teacher of midwives, has committed to supporting the creation of a safe place for women to seek pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care at Fremo’s and on June 23 she will travel with fellow FreMo supporter Natarsha to Kenya to begin supporting FreMo staff with the formation of a birth Centre. Apart from the physical creation of the Birth Centre, Vicki will provide training for birth-workers and care for birthing women. We have created this page as a way of coordinating the collection of donations for FreMo. Currently, we are collecting items for Newborn babies and their Mothers. FreMo Medical Centre has many needs from the most basic to medical equipment. They also require financial assistance. Please join our group and follow that amazing work of this amazing Medical Centre and the people who support it.
