I was looking through my closet to find a dress to wear for a big important meeting I have at work tomorrow. I found this dress my mother in law gave me like 4 or 5 years ago to sell on Poshmark. It sat in my closet in a bag for years…as I’ve been decluttering like crazy I pulled it out and was like this is cute but no way this size 4(FOUR) dress is going to fit me. 🤯 It fits, it zips, and the belt even closes!!! WHAT?!?! I started this journey in a size 22/24 dress and now I am in a size 4?! It absolutely blows my mind!!! I DID THIS!!!

Going through your whole life being the big girl, you always worry people are staring because you’re the biggest girl in the room. Today, I felt this same feeling while walking to our team meeting. I felt like the big girl and all eyes were on me. The truth?! NO ONE WAS LOOKING. I was just another girl in the crowd. At our team meeting, normally I would worry “am I going to fit in these chairs?”, today I realized I just sit without hesitation. There are so many more changes than just my weight and my appearance! It’s still crazy and still blows my mind every day.

Don’t get me wrong, I still have my rough days of body images and my brain telling me I look like that girl on the left.

2022 vs 2024
Not only have I changed on the outside, I am a completely different person inside. Losing weight has truly made me a different person. Now don’t get me wrong, my mental health still has work to do, but I’ve truly never been more ME than I am now. I finally have the energy to do all the ME things I want to do & able to do things I was previously not physically able to do. ❤️
