Grief…it’s never straightforward and sometimes it doesn’t even make sense. It’s also messy, even confusing and moving towards accepting the loss takes time. Yesterday marked a year since my dear fur baby Maxi passed on and the pain I experienced a week to his passing and during his vigil last night was as fresh as, on the day when he passed. To my special humans who were by my side in person and on call all of yesterday, I love and appreciate you so much 🤍. Going through his pictures and videos, talking about the memories I had with him, sitting in silence, and the warm hugs and cuddles was cathartic. Also allowing me to cry really helped too 🥹❤️🩹. Remember that loosing anyone or anything that is special to you and that you loved so dearly is painful and it matters to you, even if others do not understand it. So, if you have lost anyone or anything recently or even years ago, know that you are not alone and it’s ok to grieve the loss in your own time and in your own way.
