United Yoga Asia was honored to present a dynamic Vinyasa Yoga introduction at the grand opening of Le Club Climbing Center, an inspired gathering that offered an energizing and grounding experience through focused alignment, mindful movement, and a vibrant outdoor setting.

Led by our director Piseth and the dedicated UYA team, the session reflected our commitment to bringing UYA Yoga beyond the studio. Through thoughtfully designed classes tailored to the needs of schools, companies, wellness initiatives, and community events, we continue to make high-quality yoga accessible to a wider audience across Cambodia and beyond.

HAPPY LEARNING AND SHARING!

One of the most exciting highlights of July at UYA is the start of our 200 Hour Foundation Yoga Alliance accredited teacher training, welcoming a fresh group of dedicated trainees into the journey.

Over the next six months, they will immerse themselves in the essential pillars of yoga, including asana, kriya, pranayama, mantra, meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy, healing practices, and the skills needed to teach with clarity, confidence, and compassion.

UYA’s mission has always been clear. We are proud to offer world-class teacher training to both local and international practitioners, while remaining deeply committed to supporting disadvantaged Cambodians in becoming at least 10 fully qualified yoga teachers with sustainable and meaningful careers.

This program is made possible under the guidance of our director, Piseth Lun, a qualified lead trainer (ERYT 500) and passionate educator with more than a decade of experience leading teacher training programs across Southeast Asia. With wisdom, dedication, and heart, Piseth continues to empower each student to grow, serve, and teach with purpose.

It has now been three and a half years of operation, but the work from scratch actually began nearly five years ago. This is part of my 10-year commitment to building a new brand of International Yoga School in Phnom Penh, which has now reached the top tier of Cambodia’s yoga community. The mission begins here in Cambodia, but the greater vision is to reach beyond.

The arts project began last year when my friend and co-founder Kitty Go explored how we could uplift Cambodia’s arts scene. The first residency, with artist Kong Siden, was a success and has inspired our second residency program. We are now accepting applications from Khmer artists for a new three-month residency.
